    Mayweather = Leonard

    Margarito = Hagler

    Cotto = Duran

    Williams = Hearns

    Thoughts?

    Mayweather will come out retirement soon so just be patient.He's just resting himself like Oscar did a few years ago.

    Mayweather is the only one I'd put in the same league as those 4...Also, I'd pick all 4 to beat him, as well.

    Using the "=" sign is humorous, but hey, it's a decent enough replica. This generation of welterweights is building a respectable resume. Sad that Floyd quit before he got involved.

    I understand that this is a stylistic comparison and I certainly agree with your picks - but seeing Cotto=Duran makes my blood boil because one was the undisputed lightweight champion at one point and so on and so forth - but yeah this is a great four way mix up of fighters.

    However you're missing a few such as Oscar De La Hoya and Sugar Shane Mosley who are certainly in the mix with anyone at welterweight for the immediate future. Granted, they are both bound to retire soon, but for the moment they are very active.

    Mayweather is the only fighter comparable to those.

    He will join very soon. He's been fighting for a long time without rest. He's just resting his body up a little bit.

    Mayweather will fight again, mark my words.

    Margarito compares very well to Hagler. I don't see a problem with that comparison. Williams and Hearns not so much though.

    Their style is very different.

    Also their physical advantages and disadvantages. They are different in many ways.

    And Hagler is 100 times greater than Margarito.

    Hagler was one of the most complete fighters ever. Could fight in both stances, switch, had a great jab, power, one of the greatest chins, balance, he could box, he could brawl, had a solid defense, coordination, etc. He was very complete, like Duran.

    LoL. Mayweather is th eonly guy I'd put in the same class as those 4 fighters. Only person that could possibly win is PBF.

    I disagree.

    Antonio Margarito has a style to upset Prime Hearns, who was just as incapable of clinching as Cotto was a few weeks ago. Hearns could outbox Margarito, but so could Cotto. If Hearns would clinch he wouldn't find to many problems dealing with Margarito's pressure, but because he won't, he'll find himself in the same kind of fight Cotto did. I'm not certain even Hearns has enough power at 147lb to knockout Margarito. There has been no evidence of Antonio being hurt at the weight. You would have to pick Hearns by decision, but Margarito is a live opponents. Duran, Leonard, and Hagler all decisively and easily defeat Margarito though.

    Get the **** out...no one is HAGLER.

    He's one of a F*ckin' kind. If this is just an analogy, use somebody else.

    Cotto = Duran? In what sense? NONE.
