I would agree with this. However, when you bring up two fighters who will never fight eachother, it doesn't help your case. Cotto/Marquez is not a marketable fight.

If you've watched enough enough boxing you would know the unpredicitablity of the sport and that skills and ability are a better determinant, to a certain extent, of a fights competitiveness than size alone. Also, these guys should fight who the fans want to see them fight. If that means having an interdivisional fight, then it should happen. Considering how a guy a division below you could be a tougher fight than a guy in your own division, I don't see a problem with this. If you follow the money, that means you're following the wishes of the fans. You can't go wrong in the long run with this strategy.

Whenever I read these threads I am surprised at how passionatly some people defend Floyd (the same is that case for other fighters in their threads). I just can't see myself getting that worked up about someone criticising someone that I don't even know personally and who does not give a **** about me

Are you sure you are not Floyd Mayweather because you seem to suffer from the same deficiency he does.

Floyd Mayweather is the only fighter to self proclaim being the best of all time. Do you hear me, the best of all time.

That is big talk and if he cannot back it up by doing big things then he is a fraud.

It goes both ways. Don't just put this on the Floyd fans you guys love to hate. Put it on the Floyd haters too, who happen to outnumber Floyd fans 3-1.

He beats him and I won't even think twice about it. Size advantage is HUGE, chin, power, speed, accuracy, INSANE stamina/activity and above all underrated(not great but very good) defense. The guy is just wrong for ANYONE at Welterweight or Jr. Middle.

Don't get me wrong, he can be beat but it's not easy and the loss to Quintana seemed to have made him an even better more determined fighter.

 

If you're going to hold on everything he says then you're the one obsessed. ALL fighters talk trash in that way not just Mayweather, it's called self promotion and as we can see here it has done a pretty good job attracting you.

Regarding future plans all three guys(Mosley, Mayweather, Pacquao) want each other. It's just a matter of patience to see how things go.
