Do you know how these ticket places work? They charge more to see what dumb asses would pay. These same tickets cost a grip through ticket master if you bought them early.
And the thread starter is damned liar. It is not the exact same seat and not even close. The 10k ticket is a ringside first row seat at Pac/Cotto. The mayweather seat is 4th row section ****ing A.
I believe you... So where do you think the author got that $10,943 price for ringside ticket of PAC-Cotto?? .
I have dealt with Arum before he is good at twisting things. When they showed the Oscar Chavez fight on closed circuit we basically signed on to promote the Olympic Auditorium Event. We in effect bought all the tickets and Arum announced that the event was sold out. We struggled to sell tickets as everyone thought they were sold. However, the week before the fight we sold them at a premium. So ticket sales don't meant squat...
In all honesty you(TS) need to get a life!! Who cares about early speculated reporting? Obviously you and your obsessed w/it. How about being a fan of the sport & hope both fights do well!! Oh that right,...that would mean you'd have to actually follow the sport! I'm sure the fight will do well both at the gate & the PPV's. Don't hate, participate! I personally can't wait for either fight & I will be orderin both and having a big fight party! You're obviously not a die hard fan, but I guarantee you'll be ordering the fight!!
i couldnt imagine payin 5 grand for a tic let alone 10 grand the economy must not me to bad after all
Why should I lie?? I didn't say it's the exact same seat... I just presented this news, info and data here at ESB forum.... BTW, I saw one online ticket seller pricing a PAC-Cotto ticket as high as $11,785 !! (see pix below) This content is protected
is a shame really. Two of the best fighters are fighting and is having problems selling tickets? boxing is dying.
PBF always had problems filling in seats. He's very defensive, doesn't go toe to toe, low volume and not much knock out power. I'm not surprised at all. Maybe he should have been born Mexican. All in all, only boxing fans would be interested in such a matchup. I'll definitely be watching.
My wife wanted to go to the fight for my birthday, pbf/jmm and I declined based on ticket prices. I have been to see floyd fight before and I think in this economy these prices are absurd.
and I am willing to bet that ticket sales will be indicative of actuall ppv buys. odds 4 to 1. jmm is 4 years older, 2 weightclass lower, 2 inches shorter and has a 5 inch reach disadvantage against pbf. is it even a difficult scenario for people to understand why market reception is what it is. coupled with the recession. unless the promoters sell tickets at rock bottom prices before fight night, which i would expect them to do so, i have a strong feeling that we will be seeing quite a number of empty seats.
:rofl Going toe to toe hasn't made JMM or Tony as popular as Floyd. Maybe they should have been born Black.
This mismatch fight is hard to sell... - Floyd has almost all the advantages over JMM.. - Floyd is fighting a smaller, older, slower, weaker and lesser skilled boxer than him... - Floyd is a heavy 4 to 1 favorite in the betting... - This is a tuneup fight branded as a superfight by the promoters... - This fight is expected to come out boring... Expected as a tactical chess match between two master counterpunchers... - Did I mentioned it's a mismatch fight?? .
