Mayweather-Marquez failed to sell out

Wow....talk about shooting the messenger.....why don't you fanboys rush and purchase as many as you can to save floyd's face?

Really...is this something to get so worked up about? So the tix sales are low. So? Floyd still gets his big money and we still get a fight. **** like this just shows how insecure Floyd fanboys are. This isn't a big deal to anyone but Floyd's ego.

Being that you are a Pac fan, and JMM-Floyd is a good fight, should we expect you to say anything other than what you've said, and should we be surprised that you posted an article comdemning the TICKETS sales of this fight lol... Many of you Pac fans want to say Floyd doesn't deserve 50-50 with Dapidran if both Dapidran and Floyd win. If JMM-Floyd doesn't out sell Cotto-Dapidran, you PAc fans honestly believe that Pac deserves more than 50-50, and will forget about their common opponents and ticket/ppv sales.

Those ticket prices are stoopid anyway lol. I wouldn't pay 300 for a seat knowing I will have to watch the fight on the big screen... I would rather stay my punk ass at home lol

 

Not really any point judging the fights until we get PPV return figures. When it comes down to it, it isn't really surprising. Mayweather can't do everything on his own, it takes two marque fighters to generate huge revenue. Everyone likes Marquez but he has never been a huge draw. The idea of two counter-punchers going at it in a possible missmatch isn't as exciting as the guy who is currently on fire (Manny) versus a larger guy who just about EVERYONE loves (Cotto, who was in a FOTY candidate last year).

Mayweather vs Cotto would certainly **** all over Mayweather vs Marquez, thats for sure. When/if (assuming they win their respective fights) Mayweather vs Pacquiao happens, we will see just how big Floyd's influence is, the figures will make Pacquiao - Cotto look minuscule.

 

How many PAc fans have you heard say, "Gee, JMM-Floyd is going to be a great fight"??? Answer---None!

Why? In their minds Floyd is too big, and too young for JMM. PAc barely beat JMM if you even think that he did, and in PAc's fans minds, if Floyd does better against JMM than Dapidran, they can say Floyd fought a smallish JMM, prop up Cotto-Dapidran at 145, and love their hero Dapidran that much more lol...

Had to check it myself. But the only I difference I see here is that the PBF-JMM fight's seat ARE a LEVEL Closer but have the same price as the Pac-Cotto matchup whose seats are a full level back. Ticketmaster was the source.

Now I think the thread starter wanted to elude to the fact that PBF makes himself out to be this huge Draw when in fact he has been the B side of every equation.

Just for the heck of it anybody would like to guess what the PPV numbers were for DLH-Mayorga ?? Was Mayorga the household name ? or was it DLH? Their fight did 875,000 PPV BUYS!! Nothing against PBF but his fight with DLH gave him what he needed, the exposure. That's all.
