Is this fight potentially bigger than Marquez Pacquiao V? If so, and Marquez were interested in a rematch with Mayweather, does Arum have to sign off on this fight in order for it to happen? Thoughts?
what have we seen to suggests JMM is ready for Floyd? He may carry the weight better...still fights the same just like the last fight....still a very easy fight for Floyd. It would be intresting to see though the new strategy he and Nacho would deploy....i would like to at least hear it probaly wont see it.
Floyd toys with Marquez again. Floyd will potshot fro the outside and throws non committal jabs. With this strategy, even if Marquez lands a punch, Floyd will absorb it well. The punch that KOd Pac was when Pac's weight was going forwards. Same thing happened against Nedal Hussein, when Pac was KDd by a jab. So although Marquez had gained really good power at this point, it means almost nothing against Floyd.
Floyd would beat him like a baby, again. IMO Floyd could have knocked him out if he really wanted to in the first fight, but decided to carry him.
If Marquez isn't signed to Top Rank I see this fight happening in May. It makes perfect business sense. Us die hard fight fans know that Marquez will get beat again and don't care for it, but the casual fans and majority of Mexican fans will be buying the **** out of this fight after what JMM did to Pacquiao. All they have to do is show that knockout in the promotions over and over and play the revenge card for JMM and this fight sells easy. I don't care for it but if it happens I hope Marquez can get 15 million guaranteed plus PPV and ride out on some good money.
JMM could make serious bank in the twilight of his carrier by fighting Floyd again and of course the rematch with Pac. Next year will eclipse his total career earnings.
