i'm not sure if mayweather is still on top shape, he's on he's 30's and was away from the ring for 2 years. Clearly it could indicate he's past his prime now, although for me I still believe he would win. Lets just see it fight night
He's got good genes. Its like MJ leaving basketball for 2 years. The world will be in for a surprise. I guess a fight with the real 140 champ Timothy Bradley is too risky. JMM deserves a big payday, lets hope he gets a fair shake in taking this fight.
i agree plus theres no better option for jmm than a fight with floyd who would expose him more to the public and would open the door for other opportunities.
Timothy Bradley the real 140 champ. LMAO ! what title r pacman and hitman fighting for again? sure u know what ur talking about? Cos i'm not!
Mayweather UD 12, (8-3-1). Unless the ring rust was detrimental but knowing Floyd he has staid in good shape and will train hard.
depends on how PBF would look against him. if he looked like a lethargic de la hoya (isnt ****ing possible), then it will not be that great of an achievement but damn! i favor jmm in this bout no matter how slim his chances are. i want him to win so he can set up a trilogy against pac.
The general concensus seems to be that he is. JMM is just like PBF. They are so smart in the ring that they can move up to divisions where they are underpowered and just beat opponents with their brain. Lets be honest JMM is really still a featherweight. He was fighting there a lil over 2 years ago and im sure he can still make the weight. But its that damn skill of his that allows him to move up and look great against the best in the world in the higher weight classes.
Marquez has a shot at this, considering Mayweather's lay off. But imo, it was all a farce to begin with. Mayweather was just waiting for THE big pay day and THE fight to build his legacy (Pacquia). Marquez may very well just be an easy stepping stone for Mayweather, who imo orchestrated the whole retirement as a gimmick to secretly prepare for a series of come backs.
I called it before that if that fight happened at 143 or up JMM would loose. 142 he had a chance. 140 even a better chance. Now there is an UNLESS to this. That would be IF JMM had been at 140 since his last fight because he wanted Pac again. Meaning he had no thoughts of fighting at 130/135 again. Which is possible. Anyone seen recently?
imo there is like a 30/70 chance jmm wins this fight, or even 20/80. floyd is just damn big, its about the size difference... win or lose, im still for jmm
