If the weight loss doesn't hurt Mayweather, he stops Marquez.

Mosley is the only person at welter i would like floyd to fight ....other than that....its pointless.

i still dont believe floyd to be a true welter.....he may fit it now but he is not a true welter.

JMM is one of, if not the smartest, boxer in the ring. He has the abilities to adapt to many styles and situations. Now I'm not saying he will outbox Floyd but mark my words, JMM will give Floyd his biggest challenge to date if this fight is made.

JMM's constant pressure and pinpoint accuracy, as well as ring generalship and technicalities will cause Mayweather to have a hard time. . I could see a SD going either way.

Or Mayweather potshots to a UD =p

jmm is just too naturally small for pbf. pbf is going to trash his a$$, and I dislike strongly pbf.

JMM is fighting 17% above his natural weight class. If PBF were to do the same, he'd be at light-heavy. Fact.

Why did I know this fight was going to be the one Mayweather picked on the night JMM won?

This math only works out if you assume that JMM's natural weight class is 126, that this fight would take place at 147.5 lbs and if you assumed that Floyd's natural weight class is 147. You are of course playing games with the numbers here. JMM is no longer a FW, his last 2 fights have been at 135. I highly doubt that he can go below 130. Floyd could probably go down to 140, yet somehow you switched up your logic here and made 147 his natural weight class. Not only that, but you're doing the math as if the fight will take place at 147.5 lbs., when in fact it will take place at somewhere between 143 and 145 lbs.

So if we assume that each fighters natural weight is the weight class at which they currently fight and we assume that the fight will take place at 144, then JMM would be fighing approximately 6.5% above his weight class. That would be equivlant to Floyd fighting at 157 lbs. You also can't leave out the height difference when judging the size difference. Floyd is only an inch taller than JMM compared to him being 7 inches shorter than Dawson. This fight would be equivlant to Floyd fighting at 5 '9 MW at a catchweight of 157 lbs. Again, Floyd definately has a size advantage but there is no need for you to bull**** with the numbers and insult people's intelligence in order to blatantly exaggerate the size difference.

good way to point that out... i too am tired of hearing about how much bigger floyd is that marquez... when it's really not that much of a difference... :-(

Actually, it's still a pretty ****ing big difference, even if you look at it his way. Which is slanted towards minimising the difference as much as possible.

Height is irrelevant, and there's no way in hell JMM is a genuine lightweight. If you're going to point out any perceived exaggerations on my part, don't do the same.

Bull****, I clearly explained where all my figures came from. You threw out a bull**** inflated figure that was based off of inconsistent logic. Everyone knows Floyd is bigger than JMM. However, the difference is nowhere near is massive as you made it out to be. I stated that his fight would be equivlant to Floyd fighting a 5'9 MW at a catchweight of 157 lbs. Now how in the hell is that slanted towards minimizing the difference?
