yo nobody gives a **** about an undercard except for like the 200k-400k people who are already serious boxing fans and the majority of them will probably already be ordering the fight anyways

the under card is too just put on a great show

the undercard for the previously scheduled fight was going to be good anyways

    zab judah vs matt hatton
    joan guzman vs ________

i forget the other fight that was supposed to be on there but it was another good one... 2 big name up n coming latin fighters..

trust me they just trying to do good..... **** that other **** you talking

A while ago GBP put on a great undercard to MAB-Juarez II. Guzman-Barrios and Izzy-Gonzalez - I was hoping that was a sign of things to come but undercards went back to their usual, dismal state pretty quickly.

If these fights all happen it would be fantastic - I don't care in the slightest if it helps the PPV numbers, I'll enjoy it and so will everyone who watches.

I agree, and i'm with u on that. Knowing GBP and thier "business" mentality though, i'm sure this is why they are trying to stack the card. There are strong rumors from Vegas insiders who stated the original date was selling poorly as we all heard. U think its a coincidence that they moved it to Mexican Independence wknd, and are now trying to stack the card?

Not true...And that's kind of why boxing is in such a ****ed up place.

Look back at all those Tyson PPVs, the guys on the undercard usually became big stars because of the way Don King used those undercards.

So a great card is being put together... and you complain about it.

A promotional company is trying to make money... and you complain about it.

Anytime now just tell us you hate Floyd and GBP and you want this card to do poorly.

Yes, and they're not going to run with a 5 fight card, so I doubt that all these fights are being made (especially Green-Bika, which involves two non-GBP fighters). Escobedo-Katsidis would make sense. They're both on GBP, and it should be an entertaining fight. My understanding is that Hatton-Judah and John-Juarez II are already set for the card.

Terrific news if in fact these fights come to fruition.

    Never said that did I?

My point was that people DO care undercards (because they're paying a ridiculously disproportionate amount of money for it) and they can be used wisely...especially when your fight is failing to sell.

    Ya know...kinda like this one.

It's a nice way to entice more viewers. Unfortunately we're growing up in the HBO version of things where the undercard is clown shoes to them. Then we wonder why this sport is always taking two steps backwards.

Also unless I'm mistaken, Katsidis already turned down an Escobedo fight previously.

Of course not, but GBP is trying to develop its own stars. They've put a lot of effort into trying to turn Escobedo into one, and if Zab Judah wins, then it could set up Judah-Mosley if Mosley can't get anything else to happen. John-Juarez also involves two GBP fighters, so the winner is set up for bigger and better things.

Just thank God that Floyd isn't forcing anyone to put Wes Ferguson on the undercard.

oooo of course SOME people care about the uc's

but im saying they dont help sell a fight really..

no undercard will ever be great enough to sell a fight
