In a real circus at least you get to see other animals, flying trapeze, and other clowns. Not just two clowns pretending to hate each other but will not hurt each other, instead dance around like idiots and fool the fans that it is actually boxing when it's all STAGED.

Can ESB send all these Mayweather vs McGregor threads over to MMA plz. I don't even want to see them. As fans we have been blessed with some great fights this year. It is like boxing is slowly recovering. Now Mayweather is back to announce a circus like this. Its a joke. I hope boxing forums don't even support a fight like this.

One thing is for sure during this whole saga. The general public are idiots and you can sell a turd to uneducated people.

 

I don't think Floyd will let him go beyond 5 rounds. Floyd cares just as much about pride & respect as he does money. You can't blame him for making this easy money but to let an MMA guy hange around for more than 4 or 5 rounds will have some asking is he really that good of a boxer. Just my early morning thoughts IDK bro

Was just checking the odds, and Paddypower (Irish) gives 40 to 1 for McGregor to win for new costumers... They're pretty confident he doesn't too it seems.

A better comparison is putting the world's best triathlete up against a world class swimmer in a swimming contest. Sure he can swim pretty damn good, but his sport is being good in cycling and running as well, a perfect balance between those 3 diciplines. But he can't cope with a world class swimmer in a swimming pool, and certainly not the best.
As that swimmer has to compete at the triathlon, the roles get reversed. He will look amazing in the water, but running and cycling will cost him so much time that he has almost no chance at winning.
