Just searched it. I hadn't seen it referenced in the sort of videos I was watching. Makes sense as it will probably set records which won't be broken for a long time, unless AJ gets mega and the US produce a serious rival in the future.

Its not hard to imagine that Connor in frustration might throw a kick or a knee...or an elbow...or do a takedown and choke on Floyd if he's getting what we all know is going to happen - getting his ass whooped. So I'm assuming Floyd has it in the contract that there will be a hefty $$$$ forfeit should Connor try any of that stuff in the ring for this upcoming farce fight.

For the record I will watch it on youtube the next day I aint buying this FARCE. It only has car crash/freak show appeal to real boxing fans who already know Floyd is going to destroy McGregor and stop him even though he hasn't stopped a boxer in years.

Apparently, yes. It is specifically written into the contract.

Also, I would assume that if he threw a kick or initiated a takedown etc, that would be considered assault as its outside the rules of the boxing contract.

So Conor would have even bigger issues than a financial fine.

 

I thought the same thing. Honestly it would be the best result Conor could hope for. Floyds people thought of this beforehand, and I read an article apparently something is in the contract that sets severe financial penalties for this.

 

If he wins the fight, then he gets credit for it and finally scores his first meaningful win. Simple as that.

That said, I never claimed that Golovkin is a bum himself, I did say that he made a career fighting bums and overly matched fighters(Brook). So please don't put words in my mouth based off your negative emotions. We don't really know if Golovkin is a bum or a farce because he was never properly tested. This fight should serve as his first meaningful test and through this test we'll find out how his power, chin, stamina...etc truly is and be able to finally judge him. It's tough fights that judge a fighter's true credentials, fighting bums doesn't, it only impresses the easily deceived and fooled.
