Most boxing fans will remember the movie The Great White Hype, starring Samuel Jackson and Damon Wayans among others, but do you guys remember the storyline?

Mayweather vs McGreggor reminds us that boxing is a business first, then a sport, and the politics in that movie is exactly what's at play here.

Terry Conklin(Peter Berg) is an amateur boxer who defeated the current reigning champion James Roper(Damon Wayan's) as an amateur but was several years removed from the sport. To make a long story short a fight was built on the premise that IRISH Terry Conklin had defeated current reigning champ as an AMATEUR, and somehow had the champs number.

Although most of us know what the outcome of this fight will be, for those of us that don't, watch the movie, it's boxing politics at its best i.e. Mayweather vs McGreggor.

 

And Paulie will kick his ass lol!

I think guys are sleeping on McGregor because he is fighting Floyd. Anybody can be touched. Some of you guys were talking about Dirrell's uncle hurting another fighter but give Conor , a seasoned fighter who has taken punches, no chance at all.
What planet do you guys live on where boxers can't get beat the **** up?

He has no chance at all. AT ALL.

He has 0 boxing fights under his belt. His footwork will be garbage.

He might have the mental capacity to execute but the body is not there. It takes years of work and muscle memory to reach a level to be able to compete against a top tier boxer...nevermind one of the best DEFENSIVE boxers of all time.

 

So basically, in this boxing fight, the right hand and the left hand will be key? Insightful

 

This is going to be a fraud of a fight but it will be a spectacle for some reason or another. I'm definitely not buying it but most people won't be able to look away. It's a circus even worse than WWF.

 

The more I think about it, the more I think the fight will be staged to at least some degree.

So a boxing / MMA / WWE combination.

 

I think it will be a competitive fight.
