I mean, Mayweather has a very poor KO ratio but the reality is that he is facing someone who has never boxed in his entire life. Even with that said, even at the age of 40, do you think Mayweather will just KO him in the first round to show how dominant boxing is over UFC in a boxing match?

Or do you think that Mayweather will drag out the fight to give McGregor a beating or to give the fans a show like Vitali Klitschko allowed Adamek to get to the 8th round with him.

I just feel like if Mayweather wanted him out of there in the first round he could do it. If there was a sort of huge financial incentive. But my opinion is that Showtime is telling Mayweather he isn't allowed to KO him before the 4th round for the PPV buyers.

I'm sure that if McGregor looks the least bit competitive Mayweather's fans will all clamor that he was just taking it easy on him.

Just like Canelo took it easy on Chavez.

In my opinion there is no shame in not being able to KO a 28 year old at 40.

With huge heavily padded knuckles in 10oz gloves?

Nah personally I don't think so, well anything can happen but I doubt it.

If it's a stoppage then I see a mercy stoppage, I can see Mayweather hitting CM at will and it looking seriously one sided and the referee will have to have a word with the McGregor corner, basically saying anymore "heavy and clean" shots and he will wave it off, then the next time Mayweather tees off the referee will wave it off.

It's really hard to know what we're going to see, but while I don't see it being a competitive fight I would be really surprised at an early rounds stoppage still. McGregor has a chin and is a bigger dude who presents some element of danger. Mayweather is an amazing fighter but this doesn't necessarily translate to early knock outs, regardless of the level of competitiveness.

Early KOs are NOT a reliable indicator of relative skill.

It is probably in Floyd's best interest to get rid of Connor as soon as possible to mitigate the chances of Connor landing a super duper lucky shot.

I think he'll carry him a few rounds.

I pick it to last 6.

Floyd would never pursue it. If it happens in the first round then chances are he must have caught McGregor lunging in ala Hatton.
It can really happen. I'll find out when I watch it on free download a day later by some of the good Internet people.

It's hard to hit a fly even for straight fast puncher like floyd.
Even if he does land, I think the fly will roll the shots off lol

He goes at least 6. Knowing Floyd nowadays wont be surprised if he goes 12. Would suck for boxing if he does though.
