Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

I just watched the promotion, it sounds just like WWE, I think fans are being conned...............the PPV will cost $100 in America, no way will I pay that....................perhaps they should fight with UFC rules? Now I might watch the fight then..................

I always said this might not sell well as how people think.......

Both camps think this fight does over 6 mill buys easy I don't think so I think it might not even break may vs pac record might just come short

 

It's a while away still. I think personally it's gonna do good. Casuals are gonna eat it up come fight time

Well apparently it will be on the local satellite channel at 4 in the morning. So there's some fools that have bought it. Mate of mine wants to organize an early morning boxing party. I may just go, although it would be more to get a crack at his Trappist beers than any fistic delights Floyd and Conor may put on.

All face value tickets have sold haven't they? the only ones being offered on Ticketmaster are the ones that are being resold for a profit.

*edit* I stand corrected, just had a further look, and yes, there are loads of face value tickets still on sale, starting at $3,500 plus fees.

 

I think it'll be on ITV Box Office though maybe not but the uk press conference on the world tour was free on ITV Box Office.

This isn't necessarily a sign the fight will be a bust, just that they over-estimated what people are willing to pay to watch a mismatch with still no undercard announced.

$3500 isn't even for great seats. Between that, inflated hotel prices, and other costs, you're looking at a minimum $10,000 investment for less than an hour of action. By comparison, PPV looks like a steal.

 

How does this compare to the may vs pac numbers and ticket prices 4 weeks out anybody know? 3.5k seems a hell of a lot of they are **** seats too.
