I would love to see McGregor plaster him.Its not about boxing vs MMA...its about a releativley good puncher(McGregor) vs a guy no one expects to lose.it will also probably bring boxing a huge new fan base bc McGregor isnt going anywhere soon if he should win and i think it makes for a good story.

However...winning is another matter bc i dont see skills level where he would win, i dont see the blunt power everyone talks about and i dont see how style wise it favors him either bc hes a counter puncher. and wearing the padded 10 oz to catch mayweather cleanly with.

Only thing he has is reach and style of the southpaw so theres that along with confidance so theres that.

Not only do I want mcgregor to win, after the horn PAC fight I think it's fine to use chokes and kicks.

McGregor is 5/6 with William Hill to land under 44.5 punches.

This holds value considering Berto only landed 81, Pacquiao 83, Cotto 105 and Canelo 117.

Think these are the correct punch stats according to CompuBox.

Just me who thinks this is a good price?

Also note that PaddyPower are offering a similar market of:

McGregor to land under 50 punches @ 1/5

McGregor to land under 40 punches @ 1/3

McGregor to land under 30 punches @ 4/6.

    What do we reckon?

Apparently Joe Cortez is in Conor's camp and is telling him everything he knows about Floyd!!

Yes. Fall under the spell of the hype. Believe and hope McGregor will win just like you all did for Pac, Ricky, Oscar, Gatti etc. Just makes it all the more better when you bums are crying later.

Btw, saw all access finally. Floyd is definitely in McGregor's head. Guys over here acting out talking about how he doesn't want to do **** with Floyd's family there being all dramatic. He's already lost.

You guys are suckers and you've always been suckers. Living legend, destroyer of media creations. You ****ers would've been pulling for Ronda before she was exposed and they managed to make that fight. Same ****, different day. Floyd still is boxing.

I'm sure for plenty of us this will be our first time rooting for Floyd. As satisfying as watching him finally taste defeat would be, having to endure Conor and his disciples if the impossible happened is too heavy a price to pay. As far as boxings credibility, it's already in critical condition but an upset here delivers the coup de grace. Fortunately, this is close to impossible, lets just hope Floyd doesn't embarrass the sport by letting McG hear the bell.

Both fighters attract legions of blinkered worshippers but Floyd is 40 and is ready to go out to pasture, Conor we are stuck with for a while. McGregor fans are almost unbearable right now, a year removed from his humbling at the hands of a journeyman in his own sport, if he somehow beats Mayweather of all people in a boxing ring I can't even imagine the level of hype.

This is my first venture into this thread and I only read the last couple pages but has there been much discussion about the betting lines and how suspicious it is that CM is far shorter than any of us would have thought, I can't believe Floyd would agree to throw the fight but I am hesitant to bet the farm despite the apparent value of a lifetime on offer, the sport hasn't exactly got the cleanest history.
If something seems to be too good to be true…..

I like this bet. Mayweather would have to be injured or aged real bad since Berto to lose this one. Even if somehow Conor goes the distance I wouldn't expect him to land close to that number.

I'd absolutely love Conor to knock his block off. I can see the threads now:

    "Floyd the Fraud"
"Floyd exposed! He was never that good!"

That said, Floyd's going to terminate Conor and make it look like a cakewalk in this farce of a fight. I already bet on Floyd ... some of my mates are not very reality based.

My bet is very small. I didn't feel right taking a pal's beer money for the month ;) I can't see how Floyd can lose this, frankly. Unless he's doing his training inside a strip club, swimming through coke. And even then it's like 50-50

That's Broner's regime no? Him and Tyson Fury have got this training park down to a fine art.
