McGregor might be the first person I've ever seen get gassed out when working a heavybag during a public workout

If you thought the KD was legit, can you tell me which punch did it? I can actually see what Paulie said on his tweets. The right upper definitely did not cause the KD imo, it looks like more of an off-balance fall caused by the left hand before the right upper. Paulie was not singing the same tune during his interviews though, and he looked like he got beaten up BADLY by Conor.

I see that the majority thinks that it's legit on youtube comments and a lot of MMA pros think that it's legit too. The angle on the left hand is bad so I can see why some might think the left hand cause the KD.

Just saw the sparring video. Shame on paulie for getting dragged into a war and getting delivered by a amateur A horrible representation of boxing, he stood there like a sitting duck sipping in unnecessary punishment

Conor's boxing is atrocious and that is being kind. Too slow, too static and too predictable.

Those who are spending 70$ on this abomination will feel more than short changed.

I'm not sure the KD was legit either. I want to see a better angle before deciding.

I suspect the sparring with Paulie footage was manufactured as too many boxing fans see this as a freak show for it sell with us.

This is meant to build Conor up as a real boxer I assume.

    I am not buying this.

Either that it's legit footage or that it's a legit KD in the footage neither are right to me

conor keeps his glove on paulies head after throwing a punch, this is to keep paulie from straightening out and positioning himself to punch back properly, paulie shifts his weight and center of gravity to his right to get out from under conors glove while conor simultaneously forces his head to paulies left which which causes him to lose balance and fall. paulie never attempts to get his feet under him and there were 2 landed punches right before paulie fell which makes it a legit knock down. more loss of balance than punch behind the knock down but still a knock down.

nothing textbook about his boxing, i'll agree, but theres nothing slow about his straight left and he is unpredictable, because, hes not a textbook boxer.

2 landed punches? After the left Conor partially lands a right upper while Paulie is falling down. What are the 2 punches? There's only one. Watch the slo-mo at 1:01. Not a legit knockdown unless you don't consider the left hand a push.

Paulie is retired, hasn't kept sharp if he did get caught it would hardly be surprising. Any boxer will tell you what two years out the ring does to your ability to do the things you know how to do. Let's face it Paulie would destroy McGregor in the boxing ring given a camp to sharpen up and get back in shape.

All this whole episode is, is pure pantomime as will be the fight itself with Mayweather. It is a spectacle and nothing more, it will make huge money but will be the easiest night of work for Mayweather he has ever had.

Ok, I thought he had quit a long time before that. My mistake..

The point I was making still stands though, a short clip of video which is inconclusive is hardly elevating McGregor's standing as a boxer. Honestly, it's what they don't show that is more telling.

If what McGregor says is true, then why doesn't he post the entire footage from start to finish?

Those were 2 different clips spliced together. In the 2nd "knockdown" sequence Mcgregor misses every single punch he throws. He clearly puts his forearm on the back of Paulie's neck and then trips him. They cut the footage right before Cortez said no knockdown.

They sparred over 30 rounds, why doesn't UFC release all the footage instead of a 35 second clip?
