I agree, this is a farce. Exactly my thoughts on people more interested in seeing what will happen.

At $70, people will be less inclined to purchase it knowing what the result will be. I don't think it will even be $70, I see it being $100.

It's going to be drawing a lot of hype, a lot of interest and a lot of casuals. McGregor will draw 1.5M buys against any opponent, with a chance or without a chance. So we can take those 1.5M buys and add it with Mayweather's buys.

However I don't think Mayweather is going to be bringing a lot of buys to the table, because his fans are boxing fans - more MMA fans will buy this than Boxing fans as boxing fans know what to expect and have more interest in buying fights like GGG-Jacobs and Canelo-Chavez Jr.

If you take Mayweather's last fight (because the result was very easy to predict and these people will likely buy the MayMcGreg fight.) with 600k buys, you have 2.1M buys.

I am getting the other 900k from the extreme casuals (often first time buyers). That's why they say it takes two to tango when it comes to PPV buys. Canelo will do 300k against unknowns, and Cotto maybe 150k-200k. But when you take two of them it generates a lot of interest and more will buy (hence 900k buys for Cotto-Canelo)

It will be a very long time before we get an event like MayPac. But I think Mayweather-McGregor is going to make a bigger impact around the world as it's safe to say Mayweather will be knocking Conor out. The images of Conor knocked out by Mayweather will break the internet.

But who knows, maybe it ends up smashing MayPac records. I'm more interested in the press conferences with the trash talk that will be exchanged, I believe only floyd can get inside conor's head.

I don't care about the fight itself, but I want to see Mayweather vs McGregor in the press conferences more than anything. Now that would be a good exhibition.

Those punches that u shrug off in the first start to really hurt in the 6th round onwards when you are more tired, flat footed and not able to roll with as many shots. Its mayweather aswell so you know accuracy is going to be on point.

Do you think if this fight happened in 2017 that it would go overtake Mayweather vs Pacquiao as the highest grossing fight in history? And also how many PPV buys do you think it does in the US?

No one cares about floyd anymore. It was just the lead up to pac that had people watching him hoping he gets beat. His last fight showed him doing pathetic numbers. This fight won't do anything every body knows it's the biggest cherry pick so far from floyd. What's he going to do next challenge his buddy Bieber at a boxing match. He could have atleast crossed over to UFC and pitted his boxing ability to Connors style which would be allowed not a boxing match where Connors is completely disarmed.

What can he say to Floyd really? His usual schtick "fighting me is making you rich, I'm the bigger star" is totally redundant when it comes to Mayweather.

The only thing he can really say is that he would beat Mayweather in the octagon but it's not like anyone forced him to accept a boxing match. I think Conor is going to get pulverised in and outside the ring.

No it won't as there is no real chance of McGregor winning a boxing match.
