Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

Connors has a become a money symbol and now everyone wants to get in on the act. This is similar to how you don't have an extended family until you inherit money or property or win the lotto. Then extended family of all assorted kinds starts rapidly emerging out of the woodwork.

 

As the fight draws nearer I figured I'd chime in with my prediction. Personally very excited for the event and interested to see how it plays out. I'm not only picking Floyd to win but rooting for him all the way. I don't want MMA fans to have any annunciation to go on with this boxing is dead and cage fighting is the better sport crap. I do give MacGregor a shot though based on the fact that he is a young in his prime competitor who will bring an awkward style to the table and has absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain. I think Floyd's wear and tear from a long career of boxing could give the younger, bigger athlete an advantage. Regardless my most likely scenario is that it'll take Floyd a few rounds to figure him out before he starts to take over, I believe as the fight goes on the advantage will continue to grow and by the 10th round Floyd will break him down and finish him. This is what I believe will most likely transpire on fight day and I hope it does.

Kudos for Mallignacchi for his speaking of fluid Spanish. Of course if he also speaks Italian, a closely related language, that helps a lot.

 

I believe Paulie now. Conor didn't want anything to do with him. And the Spanish ... good stuff. He's a trash talker in multiple languages.

Got used like a wet wipe by an MMA fighter who Floyd is about to KO.

Just retired and did well for himself as a boxer and is getting disrespected for marketing.

plot twist: Floyd pulls the ultimate troll act by sending out Malignaggi in his place Saturday night

 

Paulie has officially become a joke. I love it.

 

I like Paulie - he seems like a genuine nice guy and always good in his interviewing/commentating. Connor is arrogant and brash so harder to like. I don't like Floyd at all but I do back him to shame Connor when the fight happens. Even though Floyds got hand problems, I still see him getting a stoppage (or quitage) i'll be very surprised if Connor makes it to the end of the 12 th. This is a $$$ exercise for both guys and fleecing the gullible public into thinking that this is a real fight. So a double KO would be the best result, even if unlikely. And Paulie will never see a real fight with Connor - Connor will quit boxing after his 1 embarrassing episode in the ring with an old light punching Floyd. Back to MMA he will go as he gets shown up as a novice in a boxing ring. He'll try n say in a real fight Floyd would have no chance, but despite boxing having way more money for the fighters to earn he won't box again. Because the boxing world will know they've been conned and won't buy it a 2nd time.

 

Pauly is supposed to be a working member of the press there to call the fight and he is trying to make himself into the story. Rule #1 of the press is don't make yourself the story. I guess he thinks he can make a few bucks off of it. I'm a boxing guy, but he is just a tool who should just go away. This farce doesn't need him chiming in at every opportunity. Just go away Pauly, nobody is there to see you
