If it's just a money grab, which it obviously is, there's no reason why they shouldn't do two fights: one under boxing rules, the other under MMA rules. If Conor, who genuinely does have balls the size of boulders, is brave enough to come into Floyd's world, then Floyd should be brave enough to do the same.

While many casuals will tune in just because of the spectacle, it will only further hurt tarnish the image of boxing. The last two boxing matches that entered popular culture being boring farces isn't going to do the sport any favors.

:( I wish I could agree but my RL pals are currently going on about how boxing is Conor's strong suit and how it's going to be a fantastic fight :duh:duh:duh Sorry pal, there are more MMA fans out there than you think, who imagine this will be a close and enthralling contest :hang

Because Floyd (not so) secretly runs the NSAC (only half joking.)

That would be testing himelf, Floyd doesn't do anything unless he has every advantage. High percentage chance Floyd loses a MMA fight, hence why it would/will never happen.

No doubt. And Conor would definitely win a MMA fight against him.

Conor is getting own big time. You just don't go in a sport against the very best, a guy who started his shoulder roll when his mom was giving him cabbage puree, and think you can beat him, eventhough you are athletic and in your prime.

Maybe Conor should show these boulder balls by facing that Russian all the MMA crowd tip to annihilate him rather than this sht. Floyd obviously isn't entering an octagon, it was enough trouble getting him into a boxing ring half the time.

If I were Conor, I'd try to break/dislocate Floyd's shoulder/arms in the clinches (like how he tried to do that to Manny).

If I were Conor, I'd be planning on how I would spend the millions that I was about to rip the fans off for.

Terrible farce. I want to fault Floyd for ripping off boxing fans, but IMO most of the PPV buys will come from delusional and newbie MMA idiots, not hardcore boxing fans. IMO the latter knows this is a mismatch circus WWE show that no one really needs to see. This will be a very very boring and one-sided sparring session for Floyd. I doubt he will break a sweat.

There is no way this fight sells. Even casual won't buy this.
