That's because the fight is not available to him. I don't approve of this fight but you can't blame Mayweather for trying to maximize the hype. If you are going to be a ho, you might as well try to make as much money as you can.

The prospect of McGregor making enough money that he retires from the sport and lets the best in the division face each other.

The fight is no more available to Floid than it is to Pac. Floid's just keeping a spotlight on it whereas Pac just mentioned casually that he'd fight Conor too. But I think Pac was more emphasizing the point that such a crossover would have to be within the boxing rules rather than any real desire to pursue/fight Conor.

I think he gets WAY too much stick for that. Wasn't his fault that Ferguson/Nurmagomedov got canceled YET again. Even with him holding the FW belt hostage there were good fights between the best in his absence, good that they finally stripped him(they probably would have had he beaten Dos Anjos earlier in the year) Don't like him winning belts and not defending them either, but plenty of other factors to consider when looking at fights not being made in the LW division. Speaking of which... Did you hear about Alvarez/Poirier? Great fight.

I just think his personality is too big for the sport. We want people who are determined to prove themselves. Not people out to earn the biggest paycheck.

Yeah there's some cracking main events coming up

Seriously, your Pac love/Mayweather hate appears to be bordering on obsessive. I hope you are just trolling on here trying to get on people's nerves. If not, you need to get out of the house and find yourself a girlfriend or boyfriend, whatever works for you, and get your mind off of this Pac/Mayweather nonsense.

Whatever I get he wants money but this shouldn't count towards his record. Break that 49 and 0 record with a real fight.

Unfortunately for us, he will retire rich with a record of 0-1-0 (0 KO)

In a boxing match, Jeff Horn would push McGregor's poop in. In fact, Paulie Malignaggi would KO McGregor in a boxing match.

Yeah I don't like it either, but it's not entirely his fault. Seems like this is the route the new owners want to take the UFC. It's a shame really, because McGregor is an extremely talented guy who has proven himself to a large extent. Can't blame him for taking this route, but it's understandable. Probably how it goes down this year(my guess) Ferguson vs. Alvarez/Poirier winner for the interim belt with the winner facing McGregor in Nov-Dec after this sideshow is through with. Wouldn't be surprised to see him retire after that, regardless of how things go.
