Not really, considering Conor is a long 170 pound fighter who was trying to keep his distance against a retired 40 year counter puncher. We can't excuse Conor that much, he is known as the best 'striker' in the UFC and he has alleged one punch knockout power. He's used his fists professionally and been paid millions for it. He looked absolute garbage, I'd hate to see what someone like Crawford or Canelo would do to the guy.

McGregor wouldn't be anything other than a journeyman even if he boxed his whole life. He has no real athletic quality.

Floyd is a smart business man, so it's not a question of if, but when the rematch will take place. Both Floyd and Conor will see it as another huge payday. Conor had early success so they could use that to promote it and maybe the early stoppage.

Not at all actually. I would have enjoyed to have seen a massive upset and some new blood in boxing - but the reality is apparently I have a clue about boxing and can make an unbiased call.

If Floyd can finagle another big payday against a guy who can't fight he deserves a medal. :lupie:

The body shots had zero effect on Mac.

What an embarrassing performance. No power, terrible, slappy combinations that would make Joe Calzaghe laugh out loud, terrible stamina--he was dead after the 4th round. The guy doesn't belong in a boxing ring. Imagine what GGG or Canelo would do to him? They would destroy him within three rounds.

Floyd was literally walking him down most of the fight. I couldn't stop laughing. Conor looked 20 lbs. heavier. Conor is a puss. He didn't want to fight. He just wanted to foul all night long and tap Floyd on the top of his head. Byrd is as big of a disgrace as a referee as Tony Weeks. Somebody needs to bury these old refs.

Floyd doesn't get any credit for this fight. His record should read 49-0* Sail off into the Las Vegas sunset by beating an amateur boxer. Congrats on absolutely destroying boxing with your b.s. He said that he "owed the fans" or the Pac fight. LMFAO

Well no sheet, Sherlock. Floyd hadn't put on a breathtaking performance since the Gatti fight. Everything else has been tepid. Genaro Hernandez is rolling in his grave. Errol Spence Jr. is probably rolling his eyes.

And Floyd and the Irish hack are rolling in the dough of the dummies who were stupid enough to buy it. Congrats on a job well duped, dunces.

The real fights are next weekend:

    • Srisaket Sor Rungvisai vs. Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez, rematch, 12 rounds, for Sor Rungvisai's WBC junior bantamweight title

    • Naoya Inoue vs. Antonio Nieves, 12 rounds, for Inoue's WBO junior bantamweight title

    • Carlos Cuadras vs. Juan Francisco Estrada, 12 rounds, WBC junior bantamweight eliminator

If it happens it has to happen in the Octagon. And if it does Floyd is going to have to score at least 40 take downs, ground and pound Mac for 10 minutes, and drop him with spinning back kicks at least 5 times to score an event win as big as the one Mac did last night.

Holm is a kickboxer first and foremost.

lol Nice. Just as I've been saying, Mac took him to school for the first 4 rounds ie. while he still had gas in his tank and air in his lungs. Floyd couldn't deal with his boxing ability and slickness and he only really started having any success when Mac was running on empty. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if those punch stats have been altered to try and save some face for Floyd and the sport of boxing either. The judges had obviously been sweetened up to do the same too.

Nobody is going to fall for it again, we've seen how easy it is.

I finally watched the fight. I have to say, McGregor is a damn good athlete who did a great job. I had him up 5-4 going into 10, but he is so awkward and unorthodox I'm sure he was giving the judges fits; BUT, he had every advantage going in except experience and still got knocked out. If he's smart he will never box again. As I said, he's a great athlete and picked this thing up quickly, but his main advantage in boxing was that of surprise and it's gone. Anybody he fights has tape of him now.
