Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

I went from zero experience to boxing with pros in 4 months. Of course Conor will have a smooth transition. Hes been fighting his whole professional life. Measuring distance, trading blows, etc. it's different than boxing, but he's way better off than any shmoe on he street. He's in ridiculous shape most importantly.

All it takes is one unorthodox move and one landed punch. I give Conor maybe 10% chance.

 

But that's the point his not transitioning and starting against novices, his going in an against an ATG. An undefeated fighter who makes world class boxers look clueless. Saying all it takes is one punch can be used for every opponent floyd has fought. That's not enough to win.

 

He's not transitioning against novices, no.
But does he really need that experience outside of sparring at the gym?
He's already fought in front of millions of people so he can certainly handle the gravity of the situation.

Connor is bigger and more athletic. He's also the most dynamic and successful fighter from the next most popular combat sport.

 

Let's just get whoever is the best muay Thai fighter or kickboxer in the world and see how they get on.

There is no difference with that and McGregor taking on Floyd.

I saw the van Heerden sparring video. If that wasn't a cunning plan by Conor to sucker Floyd into a total state of delusion, but a true reflection of his abilities, then Conor's only hope is that PBF's diet of loose women and fast cars has totally screwed his fitness and focus. Otherwise he's fooked.

More fans turned away from boxing
Plus all the other boxers get overshadowed by Floyd

It's an exhibition, basically. Boxer vs non-boxer.

But both will be paid handsomely, Mayweather gets to 50-0 with few issues, Mayweather permanently retires, and McGregor returns to MMA.
