All this would do is push that fight back to October or November but let's get real Canelo doesn't want the fight or it would have already happened.

Would love to see this fight go head to head vs Canelo/GGG on Sep 16 weekend.

My guess is most boxing fans will choose the latter while UFC/MMA fans would get
    FLoyd/McGregor.

Would love to see Overeem vs Povetkin in a kickboxing match. Since Vityaz is suspended he could as well return to his kickboxing roots and shatter some glass.

    Are you for real?

Firstly there is the Miguel Ruiz controversy 12 fights in then there is a huge issue with the standard of opponents for a large swathes of his career. The guy he beat to get his '50th' win was 1-15 and his first 40 opponents make Deontay Wilder's look like ATGs.

Look at most of these idiots talking how bad this would be but when Pacquiao's name was brought up against McGregor, they said it would be a great fight LOL

It would be an exhibition or a sideshow if it was some hybrid rules BS. If this happens, it's going to be 100% a boxing match with boxing rules. There's no way you can make the argument that it's some sideshow exhibition just because it involves an MMA fighter. It will be McGregor’s pro boxing debut. It would be much more difficult for a boxer to fight in an MMA match than for an MMA fighter to do a boxing match. McGregor knows how to throw punches. He’s got punching power. He’s had plenty of time to dedicate himself to training specifically in boxing. I would expect to see a very highly motivated aggressive brawling style from McGregor. Also Conor McGregor has a great chin and Floyd simply does not have the punching power to stop anyone let alone Conor. I would be shocked if Floyd stops him. I expect this fight to go the full 12 rounds, Conor will be in his face throwing bombs all night, walking through Floyd’s punches and just eating them like skittles. Floyd will find himself on the ropes slipping punches and will make Conor miss and have his moments en route to a controversial decision win for Floyd something like 7-5 or 8-4.

I’m not an MMA fan at all, so don’t accuse me of just being an MMA fanboy. I don’t think most MMA fighters would have a chance, but McGregor is different. He could really get under Floyd’s skin in the buildup. We haven’t seen Floyd fight someone who really knows how to get under his skin in a long time. Conor can do that and he can take the fight to Floyd. I could be wrong but that’s my gut feeling on this.

I think you're going to be a very disappointed customer in the end. But, hey, if you want to spend your money on Mayweather vs Novice, I can't stop you.

McGregor is a good dude. But he's not a professional boxer and he's taking on a master boxer. It's not a contest.

Conor knows how to throw punches. Conor has punching power. Conor has a good chin. Conor will be highly highly motivated, and I expect he will give Floyd a very tough fight.

Not me. Pacquaio McGregor is a joke too. Any decent boxer vs McGregor is a joke fight.
