Actually I like boxing AND MMA. They are not mutually exclusive.

Floyd vs Conor, however, should be mutually exclusive.

    To reiterate:

    1) This is a kak fight and a total mismatch
    2) It's a money grab on the part of both fighters
    3) It will be bad for boxing and MMA
    4) Fluid won't even need to unsheath his lucky IV needle

and if on a 0,01% chance Conor throws a looping haymaker and KTFO Floyd, I will probably rupture a hernia from laughing. But of course it is far more likely that Floyd clowns him for 12 rounds and afterwards Conor gets a part in a new zombie movie, as an extra, no make up required.

    That is all.

I like old school MMA, PRIDE, Fedor, Igor Vovchanchyn, Sakuraba, Shogun... I don't like the UFC and its fans. I'd like MMA to take a different path and become more like boxing.

Yes, I largely agree. The UFC having a stranglehold on things isn't ideal. It was actually very cool when Pride was going and we had Chuck coming to Pride for a strafing run.

Thoughts? It'll be his first KO since Victor O'Treez.

I have a feeling that despite McGregor having never boxed a single professional round, Roid will still play it really safe and spoil.

I think Mcgregor will quit not KO'd.

I think 40 year old floyd will box the bigger mcgregor until he quits due to exhaust in the mid rounds 6-10

May is too safety first at this point 40 and fragile hands I doubt he takes unnecessary risks. Potshot and turn Mcgregor

I think there'll be a gentlemen's agreement to let it go the distance. It'll be one of the highest paid sparring matches of all time, not unlike Mayweather-Pacquiao in that regard. There's no killer instinct left when that much money is on the line. Maybe if CM gets out of line, Mayweather cracks him for it and finishes it.

Plus, if Floyd lets him get enough shots in to make it interesting, there's always a rematch to be had. It's really up to Floyd as far as how he wants it to end.
