Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

Mid to late rounds. Floyd won't be stupid to go out guns blazing in the only part of the fight where Connor might pose a threat.

 

Debut boxer takes him 12 rounds. TBE my ass

 

Floyd doesn't knock anyone out.

 

Carry's and stops him late. Might let McGregor win a round or two to make things interesting.

 

I don't really want to think about this schit.

 

Conor McGregor is a great athlete and will do better than most people think. The punch throwing is the easy part, the conditioning is the hard part and MMA guys have pretty good stamina for the amount of time they have to fight and the full body usage.

 

Stamina is the gaping flaw in his game. See the Diaz fights.

 

Everybody is tired after 15 straight minutes of punching someones face in. He was in with a bigger man at a weight he never fought at before. He was hitting Diaz with everything he had, does that also make him feather fisted? No

 

It's not one of his strong points dude. He excels at getting guys out of their early, until he proves otherwise his stamina will be questionable at the very least. But yeah, he does have better stamina at 155 and 145 but even there he hasn't proved that it's great. Since almost all of his fights have ended in the 1st or 2nd rd while campaigning there. Until he proves otherwise... His stamina will be considered suspect, even at 155.

 

Round never . . .

 

OK so with that mindset, then how does Floyd wanting to fight this guy "who would lose to a woman boxer" reflect on Floyd?

 

It will probably go the distance, unless McGregor runs out of gas

I liked Pride. I also liked the early days of UFC. Even UFC in the mid to late 2000s was pretty cool. It's only in recent years where it's really gotten harder for me to watch. I think it has a lot to do with women fighting in UFC. Not that Ronda Rousey wasn't cool, but once she started sucking now there's all these women fighting in the UFC and it just doesn't have the same feel. (and I liked Ronda Rousey, her run was fun to watch, I'm just saying a lot of the other women in the UFC don't have the personality or the appeal that Rousey had)

Dana White for example just a year or so before he allowed women to compete in UFC said that women would never fight in the UFC. Then Rousey came along and she convinced him to let women fight in the UFC.

 

I don't know and I don't care. I didn't watch Floyd vs big show either, and couldn't care less about how that transpired.

 

7-10 stoppage in a **** fight.
