Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

I get people don't like Floyd, but in this case all boxing fans should be cheering for him if you have the best interests of the sport at heart. if you're exclusively a boxing fan and cheering for MgGregor then you're not a real fan.

 

I think so only the most diehard Mayweather hater roots against the boxer lol us vs them

 

Only way boxing will come out with any credit is if Floyd KOs him inside 3 rounds.

That wont happen and floyd with remain elusive and bore the casuals to death

Pure cross-fights are almost cast in stone that the guy in his field beats the visitor. Toney found that out against Couture. Sylvia tried to throw hands with Mercer and got KTFO. Aleks Emelianenko, who had outstanding hands in MMA, struggled to overcome two absolutely no-name brand boxers at boxing.

The tapout crowd will pull their puddings for years afterwards should Conor somehow beat Floyd.

You're wrong. McGregor is beastly strong. He could definitely spark Floyd out.

Unfortunately he's going to look like a spaz against PBF and embarrass everybody.

 

Floyd could take a nice Mosley right hand and beating from Maidana, Connor will feel like a fairy.

 

I could see it happening if karma decides its the time to humble Floyd. I don't like Conner, and I loath Floyd. But i do like Boxing way better than MMA, and last thing I want is those fans boys to have even more fuel to use for mma vs boxing, but at the same time it would be sweet to see Floyd get a taste of karma for once. I do think Conner is quicker than almost every opponent Floyds faced since Zab. Pac was quick too but range was too short to really take advantage of it. I do not see Floyd taking Conner seriously at all either.

 

The biggest fight in Boxing is Joshua-Klitschko, never mind Gggg-canelo

Also least skilled but Floyd is 40

 

If Floyd was 32 and taking this fight id be upset, I think this will be a fun night of boxing don't take it too seriously

 

Well you're wrong there. 40+ inactivity, Floyd couldn't eat mcgregors best punch like a skittle lol. Floyd will win but he has to be cautious against mcgregors who is bigger and unconventional.

Mayweather can have problems with unconventional fighters he has to box smart early until Mcgreg tires out

 

I think Mayweather will come on in the later rounds, if he can almost ko cotto late Mcgregors is in trouble.

but age is a factor I know in this day and age 40 can still work no doubt but the smaller divisions you can literally age over night

 

Here we go again. Hoping a Floyd opponent can land a KO punch. Can it happen. Sure anything is possible but if it couldn't happen for guys like Manny, Shane, hell even Maidana with that big shot he landed at the end of the 3rd round of the second fight. I doubt Connor who went life and dealt with Diaz is going to be the one who lands it.
