Also, De Le Hoya claims that Floyd Mayweather Jr. may be the greatest of all time. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3L2LC4GkQY[/ame] Floyd is excellent at contradicting himself, so I won't read too much into it but still you may find the video to be interesting.
technically floyd is one of the best ever, i wouldn't regard him as higher as the likes of ray robinson, but he's definitely one of the best. some talk about ali, and i'm a huge fan of ali, but people got to remember, ali was just a heavyweight, he couldn't move up in weight, and ali wasn't defensively as good as floyd. ali avoided punches with his natural reflexes, once he slowed down by his early 30's, he couldn't avoid the punches, and at times he just put his arms up to block punches aka george foreman fight. also ali didn't throw body punches, that's just something he didn't do, which is why i laugh at the rocky marciano video fight, because ali's throws countless of body punches in that one. still ali is one of the best ever, and is the greatest heavyweight in my opinion. ali's achievements surpass floyd's in my opinion, but ability wise i think floyd's up there.
