I love Cotto, one of my favorite fighters but you're only saying that because he fought Pac.

 

Miguel Cotto of the Margarito fight would have gone shy in the face of this assault.

Definitely. I think Cotto's wearing down a bit here. He's obviously still dangerous until the fight is over... he could land a big shot and put Alvarez down... but I think he's worn down a bit. Mentally tough, though.

 

Alvarez looks 3 divisions bigger than Cotto...so I'm not impressed by this.

I have it 5-3 for Alvarez after eight rounds.

But Alvarez also has the KD.

 

I personally think Cotto needs a knock out (or TKO) to win.

Well, I don't think anyone's calling it a "great" win, but it's a solid win and an opportunity for us to see Alvarez tested and his general skillset. Assuming right now that he finishes the fight and wins, I like what I see out of him.
