If this is true, there is no more excuses why this fight can not happen.

Its been confirmed. It was indeed 18 days before the fight. 24/7 misled the public into thinking it was a week before the fight.

I understand its "random" but they should have done it randomly up atleast until a week before the fight.

Absolutely no reason why Floyd cant agree to the 14 days he proposed in the first place.

    Source is Kevin Iole:

Question, with the big deal about the drug testing for this fight, why didnt USADA test atleast up until the week of the fight? Why 18 days, seems like a long time. Of course you can say it was random so Floyd & Mosley wouldn't risk it, but then, why test at all? Why test 5 times? Why not just test once as afterall "its random so they wont risk it".

EXACTLY..ITS ALL RANDOM...TESTS MAY END 18 DAYS BEFORE THE FIGHT OR THEY COULD END THE DAY OF THE FIGHT..THATS WHAT MAKES THE TESTS MORE CREDIBLE...THE FIGHTER NEVER KNOWS

AND U MENTION 24/7...24/7 DIDNT DO $HIT TO THE FANS...THEY TOOK A "RANDOM URINE TEST" A WEEK BEFORE SHANE LEFT TO VEGAS..

SORRY BUT YOUR POST ABOVE HAS SOME WRONG INFO IN REGARDS TO 24/7...WHEN DID IT MAKE ANYONE THINK IT WAS A WEEK B4 THE FIGHT?:huh

THAN U MENTION THAT FLOYD WONT ACCEPT HIS OWN CUTOFF...FLOYD HASNT SAID ANYTHING DANGEROUSITY...SO DONT JUMP TO THE CONCLUSION THAT HE WONT ACCEPT IT ANYWAYS...BESIDES...ITS NOT UP TO FLOYD OR MANNY WHEN THE CUTOFF DATE IS..ITS UP TO THE PARTY DOING THE TESTING AND WHAT THEIR POLICIES ARE

Idiots its not a CUT-OFF its Random, RANDOM is the key, not that they came 18 days or 18 minutes before the fight. Random means that they can swoop down at any time to get blood and urine, a cut-off means that after this date they cannot collect after that time. Big Difference, a cheater can wait until cutoff then balco it up where as random said cheater would be pissing their pants wondering when the USADA agents are going to show up.

But if you’re thinking that concession will lead to Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on Nov. 13, slow down. There is a big difference between what Pacquiao told Giongco he’d agree to and what Mayweather and Mosley did, said Travis Tygart, the chief executive officer of USADA.

“That totally misses the point,” Tygart said of the reaction some may have upon hearing of Pacquiao’s concession and the timing of Mayweather’s last blood test. “If you know you aren’t going to be tested within the last 14 days, you can cheat and get away with it. It is our right to test at any time, 30 days before the fight, 20 days before, the week of, the morning of – that provides the deterrent. If you block out a period of time and say we can’t test during that period, then an athlete could cheat and get away with it.”

Tygart praised Mayweather and Mosley and said they fully embraced the program. They were, he said, “consummate professionals throughout the entire process.”

Doesn't this imply that USDA believes that it will be difficult to blood dope during that 18 span day? I'm sure they won't admit this but that is the way this looks, either that or they were too complacent to blood test them in the final 18 days.

I didnt say Floyd hasnt accepted it, I said there is no reason why he shouldnt accept it now.

Also for those saying its "random", Ive already addressed this issue:

"Question, with the big deal about the drug testing for this fight, why didnt USADA test atleast up until the week of the fight? Why 18 days, seems like a long time. Of course you can say it was random so Floyd & Mosley wouldn't risk it, but then, why test at all? Why test 5 times? Why not just test once as afterall "its random so they wont risk it".

Fair enough its random but dont make a mockery of it and make the last random test 18 days away. Might as well do no test because fighters wont dope for fear of being "randomly tested".

The United States Anti-Doping Agency confirmed Friday that the final blood sample taken from Shane Mosley was April 12 and the final one taken from Floyd Mayweather was April 13 as part of their agreement to undergo random, Olympic-style testing prior to their May 1 welterweight boxing match in Las Vegas.

Because RANDOM means they reserve the right to test any time. Pac wants a guarantee that NO TESTING will be done after X date. That is NOT going to happen with the USADA.

Pac and Arum know it and that is exactly why they said it. They are trying to craftily shift blame for this fight not happening onto Mayweather. Then Pac will fight Margarito.

Mayweather gave blood and urine on March 22, April 1, April 13 and then May 1 after the fight. He gave urine only on April 3, April 6, April 21 and April 24.

Mosley gave blood and urine on March 23, March 31, April 12 and then May 1 after the fight. He gave urine only on March 29, March 31, April 7, April 20 and April 26.

It is NOT Arum. Arum is just like a lawyer (he is also one?). He represents his client. Arum was all for this fight UNTIL he had to go to PI to talk to Manny in person.

Now ask yourself, "Why would a 74 year old man get on a plane to PI to have a conversation that he could have on a phone, by fax, or on email?" There you have your answer.

    This is Pac.
