    At least you got "you're" right. I mean, the rest is laced with pseudo-psychology, homophobia, and awful grammar (wrapped up in a not-so-elaborate straw man argument), but at least you got SOMETHING right. Well, I am done with you. Cheers!

    P.S. I am objectively better than you.

    @Stylez G.

    I understand that, but at the end of the day, it's my opinion that it's still a popularity contest. Mayweather had 1 significant victory this year, when you compare that to the year Bradley had, it can only mean 1 thing, Mayweather was the more popular fighter.

    Why are people saying Bradley should have won it? Stevenson knocked out Boone, Dawson, Cloud and Bellew, and Rigondeaux had the most impressive win of the year when he completely schooled 2012's fighter of the year. Both are more deserving of this award than both Mayweather and Bradley, IMO.

    ...And for those of you saying Bradley should have won, do you think Mayweather would be deserving of the award had he beaten Provodnikov and Marquez instead of Guerrero and Canelo? I highly doubt it.

    @Cormega

    The point you made is why I call it a popularity contest, of course other fighters are deserving of the award as you've pointed out, but at the end of the day, Mayweather is more polarizing to the boxing public. Only hardcore fans would even recognize the fighters you've listed, meanwhile casuals wouldn't.

    Understood and agreed, and while I do believe he is the best P4P boxer in the world today I don't believe he had the best year. Nor do I believe Bradley did.

    Guillermo rigodeaux deserves to be fighter of the year.

    His schooling of Donaire tops both of Mayweathers wins this year.

    And his schooling of Agbeko was a better win than Guerrero.

    Donaire won it last year. Was he the most popular fighter? Bradley is a WW champ who barely hung on to beat a JMW contender, and got a close decision over a top 5 WW. Honestly, where did you have Provo ranked before he fought Bradley? Mayweather decisively beat a top 5 WW and a top 5 fighter at JMW who was also a champion at that weight class. To say that there isn't a legit argument that Mayweather had a better year is ludicrous. A BWAA award is hardly a popularity contest. Popularity contests happen when the voters to pay close attention to the candidates.

    If Mayweather is fighter of the year all boxers will be wearing tu tu 's in the ring after a ringwalk to The Sugar Plum Fairy
