    hi guys,

i want to say something and that is mayweather is a wonderful fighter and i actually like to watch him fight but the fact is that he has never been an undisputed champion of anything.

lets look at him at 130 pounds...
did he ever unify the 3-4 belts the answer is NOPE....sure you can say he would have for sure beat this or that guy but this is fighting...and when you have 2 world class guys, you can never be too sure.

135 again never unifed the belts...and never fought stevie johnson or bazan among others...so how can you be so sure he was the best there?

140...was never really a true champion there...he beat gatti, well everyone beats gatti.

when he was there he never fought the best cotto, hatton or even the ageing kostya.

    147. again he does not fight the best cotto, kermit citron, paul williams, shane mosley etc etc the list here is preety long.
so how the hell can anyone say he is the best now?

he did beat some tough guys 135 and below but after that he never beat any of the best.

don't you have to beat the best to be considered the best, so how the hell can he be considered the best 147 pounder.HOW?

he looks flashy great, well lets see if you look great against the other champions not a 40 year old men.

He beat Carlos Baldomir who was the UNDISPUTED WELTERWEIGHT champion after beating Zab Judah who beat Cory Spinks for the UNDISPUTED WELTERWEIGHT championship. He won the IBF belt beating Zab, and then annexed with the WBC and Ring Magazine belts with the win over Baldomir.

How many title defenses at 130 pounds? Do your research buddy, he was the man. An top-10 ATG in the weightclass.

Floyd beat the best at 130 and 135 no question... you dont know boxing if you think he didnt.

140 he wasnt spoilt for choice... Hatton wanted no part of him there. Bob Arum kept Cotto as far away as possible. Tszyu got TKO'd nuff said.

147 is really debatable, if you think Margarito is the best then fine.

154 is not a packed division, out of all the dudes there, the Oscar who fought on May5th beats every 154 lber out there. so IMO oscar was the best at that time.

He beat the best at 130, 135, and perhaps 154.

He is going to beat the best 140 pound fighter out there in a few days, but that argument is void because it's at 147. Still, it's not Floyd's fault that the two never fought at junior welterweight.

At 130 he beat the Linear Champion Hernandez then defended against Corrales, who was #1, and decent guys like Jesus Chavez.

At 135 he beat Castillo twice, who was the man. Period.

At 140 he didn't beat Tszyu. Ok, he didn't beat the best.

At 147 he won't fight the best until he fights Cotto.

At 154 he beat probably the best fighter and the most popular name: Oscar.

So I'd say he has fought the best in 3 divisions. He has fought in 5.

    **** THAT ****:good

    30 Casamayor, Freitas
    35 Spadafora
    40 Tszyu/Hatton
    47 Cotto/Williams

The past is the past and it remains that Floyd hasnt UNIFIED any division. Like it or not, its TRUE:good The difference is saying he never beat ALL the best in any one division rather than he never beat the "best".

None of it matters if Floyd can do at 47 what he's never done essentially and beat ALL THE BEST in one division. The real ATG's like SRR and SRR did. Its time for Floyd to make his statement on the legacy.

at 140 and 154 - NO. He did not prove himself as the best in those divisions.

At 130: Yes - in fact, he may be the best 130 pounder ever - with apologies to Alexis Arguello.

At 135: He beat Castillo who was the man at that class.

At 140: He beat Gatti who had a belt on a technicality called the "Super Champion" rule. Floyd was never the man in this division. IF the Hatton fight was at 140 and Floyd won, he would be...But it isn't, he won't and he won't be.

At 147: He beat Baldomir who was linear, and had he paid sanctioning fees he would have been undisputed. While you could argue that Baldomir's win over Judah was a fluke, it didn't matter since Floyd beat Judah, too. There are others here to beat (Mosley, Margarito, Cotto, etc) that could solidify his position but he is in effect the linear champ.

At 154, he only fought Oscar. To be the best at this class, he would have to beat the likes of Spinks, Karmazin, Forrest, etc...

It doesn't matter that Cotto started at 140. He's a true welterweight...

at 130, Casamayor and Freitas are fights that should have happened but neither were as highly regarded as the undefeated version of corrales he beat.

at 135 - if you rank Spaddy over Castillo santa claus is real.
