part of that is because he's the man to beat and has been for a long time, and part of that is legitimate.
but he never 'ducked' margarito because when marg was doing his best to get floyd to fight him he only had cintron as a scalp - so he never earned it.

and cotto, as an introvert, is about as effective at calling out fighters as marcel marceau.

the boxing federations make it damn easy for fighters like floyd to make up their own rules about who they fight and when because he's bigger than any of those belts are worth.

after saying that, floyd's resume is a damn sight better than a lot of people give him credit for, even though he has picked and chosen...and made his own rules sometimes.

none of that will change whileboxing remains fragmented though.

Yes a guy who has made a career of going up in weight has never fought a bigger guy than himself.

What the **** is wrong with you.

Hes been the champ at 154, I dont see how anyone would say him fighting at 154 again would be an issue.

160 and up then, yeah, you're getting into guys who are just too big,too tall etc, etc.

For a guy who weighs 150 on fight night.

I'm glad u think that because as a Sergio fan I can confidently say that Sergio will give Floyd the beating of his life.. But u know what they say.. Talk is Cheap!.. Hopefully ya boy has the balls to make the fight before Serge gets too old n changes his mind.

You're one of the *****s I actually enjoy reading.. If the Pac fight doesn't go through ( which I'm sure it won't) And ur boy ducks Serge (which I'm sure he will) to fight sayyy Alvarez or Guererro I really hope u don't do an about face n come up with all kinds of lame excuses. :yep

    You didnt "trap " anyone.

Ive never read one Floyd fan say that Fl;oyd cant beat Sergio because of his size.

At 154 Floyd wins, just like he beat all the other guys who were way bigger than him.

Only issue is,that it doesnt matter if Floyd fights and beats Sergio now, people will say "sergio was old, Floyd is still ducking Alvarez!"

Remember when people on here would talk about how Floyd was ducking Williams and how Williams would destroy him???

They're the same guys who are now riding the "hes ducking sergio" bandwagon.

I can't believe you actually said something reasonable for once. First the Floyd vs Pac HAS to be made, but afterwards I too don't want to see any of those names fighting Floyd except Canelo and Martinez.

Floyd vs Ortiz, Khan, Maidana, and Bradley would be a tremendous joke.
Floyd vs Marquez is just a bad style match up and JMM is too old to attempt to change much.
Floyd vs Morales would be ridiculous due to Morales being very much past his prime and best weight.
Floyd vs Guerrero, Berto would be slightly intriguing, but would not waste 55 bucks for the fight.

Floyd vs Canelo, Martinez are the best fights for Floyd after he defeats Pac, monetary and Legacy wise.

Serge is better then all the other bigger guys Floyd beat.. Including the washed up, slow, flat footed version of De La Hoya.

That washed up version who had just destroyed Mayorga, in a highly impressive display to win the world title.

If that was him washed up,slwo and flat footed, Id hate to known what he was 2 years later, coke addled and weight drained again Pac.

Belieev me, if he beats Sergio, the "he got old overnight" brigade will be out in force.

Why did you copy and paste and old comment of mine?

I dont see the point of what you just wrote.

Size will of course be an issue, its just that Floyd is so good he can overcome it.

Also you never answered my previous point. If I can say that sergio/Floyf wont be an issue on size, can you now say that Marquez being schooled by Floyd had nothing to do with size??

Mayorga???? :rofl:rofl.. U can't be serious.. The guy who smoke, drinks n allows fighters to hit him??? The guy with no head movement, no footwork or ring IQ??? The guy that's known for talking a bunch of **** and getting his ass kicked??? lololol.. :nut:nut:nut.. C'mon man, I know your smarter then that. As for Serge getting old.. It's f'n true man. He sure as **** ain't getting any younger and IMO the Darren Barker fight his timing and reflexes seemed way off then in his previous fights.. I STILL think as of right now he is good enough to beat Floyd.. But if ur boy ducks him for another yr or so I don't know. That's why the fight has to be made now so neither side has any excuses.

At that stage Mayorga was still considered one of the top LMW's

He had beaten Forrest twice, and was champ. Nowadays, hes considered a bit of a joke, but at that stage he was considered a legit contender.

And De La Hoya did him worse that Trinidad did not too much previously.

Floyd isnt getting younger either which people forget. Hes not exactly a spring chicken himself.

My question to all these sudden Sergio dick riders. If Martinez was truly the same size as Floyd, do you think he could still beat Mayweather off of boxing skill alone?

    Don't worry, I'll wait....
