Mayweather never says what the excusses will be if he fights a bigger guy

Mayorga was always a joke and Trinidad exposed him as that.. A loudmouth who was never an elite fighter. I can agree Floyd isn't getting any younger either but I think Floyd is a better technical fighter then Serge.. Serge relies mostly on his Reflexes, footwork, quick combinations, timing, and power... Or in one word his Athleticism.. Once that's gone Sergio will not be the same fighter. Floyd can lose some athleticism and still fight at an elite level.

Size is always an issue and will be a big advantage for Sergio, but Floyd is just so amazingly good that he can overcome what will be probably a 15 lbs difference.

Marquez wasnt good enough to overcome the small size difference between him and Floyd (1 inch and 4lbs on fight night)

But Floyd is good enough to beat Sergio even though there'll be a huge difference in size.(2 inches 15 lbs approx)
It doesnt really matter what Floyd needs to go up and Sergio needs to come down,the fact is that come fight night, it'll be 150 vs 165 pound fighters.

As long as Sergio's age won't be held as an excuse against him or his level of comp either. When those May-Sergio rumors were hot there was a lot of talk about how Sergio didn't fight anyone and that his skill level is suspect after the Barker fight and that he only has size but isn't an elite fighter.

well to be honest, size is an issue, but like what others have said, Floyd is skilled enough that he can overcome it. Floyd isn't obligated to fight the lineal champ 2 divisions higher than him when he himself is small for his own division.

I just know fighters in the past like Duran and Armstrong have fought against the odds and took on challenges like that when they didn't have to and I hope Floyd does the same.
