Floyd has said this many times. He doesn't watch tapes but his uncle does and he trusts him to come up with a good game plan. He said all he had to do fr there is follow the game plan.

Roger has said this many times. He said his nephew does not study tapes, but he does and will come up with the game plan.

So does Floyd watch tapes. My answer is no. Does he watch boxing? casually. Does he study tape in prep for a fight. Hell no.

A number of fighters say they don't watch tapes, in both boxing and MMA.

Cotto was one who said he never watched tapes. The only time I have heard of him studying a tape is for the Margarito rematch, when Diaz made him watch and study the first fight to see the mistakes he made.

I doubt it...he doesn't get fake with it like. Usually, what he says is what ya get..wether the recipient likes it or doesn't, is irrelevant to Floyd...thus why we all know he does have a big mouth.

its not that big of a deal, he is fan of the sport so like you seen him at the berto vs ortiz fight. but to watch tapes in a room i dout he does. i think he leaves it up to roger and he follows the game plan. mayweather is not the only one to that though. some fighters feel they the guy there are fighting will fight differnet or dont fight like they do on tapes.berto says he dont want tapes either.

Forget about Floyds **** talking and flashy persona.

Beyond that he is an absolute professional and always has been. We see glimpses of it. When he talks about boxing and technically breaks things down and talks about how he matches up stylistically etc... We get a glimpse into how savvy he is. Someone that works that hard consistently for years with that level of dedication is absolutely going to look at tapes. The dude has lived and breathed boxing all his life it's rather ****ing naive to think he doesn't do his homework PERSONALLY not just roger mayweather. Floyd is getting into the ring putting his zero on the line there is no way he isn't compelled to watch video. That doesn't make him any less amazing.

Can't believe how easily people buy into the persona Floyd puts out there.

Roger studies, and comes up with the game plan. He and Floyd review the plan, and exploit whatever weakness that they find. Best believe Snr. and Jeff throw in their input just too make sure nothing gets overlooked. Want proof look at the Judah fight, they knew when he would gas and what rounds Floyd could step it up in.

IMO probably one of his hardest fights due to the physical gifts of Judah. A younger, fresher Judah would have been big problems for Floyd

Pernell Whitaker did not either. They think if they see a guy winning it will make them intimidated.
