From what I understand is,Roger watches the tapes, and then gives in his input... If he does not watch the tapes,I think it just might be due to the fact that he would rather feel them out in the ring than on video..

The way I've always assumed it was, was that he definitely watches fights of future opponents but when actual fight camp starts lets Roger do the tape study. And when Roger gets his gameplan accessed he brings in Floyd to show him the bare essentials. Like what he needs to watch for and what he can take advantage of. That is all he needs really. Not too nitpicky. They use training camp to work on the usual and put more focus on what they've talked about and then plan to adjust for whatever else comes on fight night.

Be cool to watch a fight with Floyd and hear the things he picks up on while watching

Floyd never fights some obscure never heard of mother ****ers though, always very high profile fighters that everybody has seen all their more recent footage.

I don't know if he spends hours watching tape. I'm sure he's seen his oppoents fight before he fights them. Wasn't he ring side for Berto/Ortiz and Alexander/Kotelnyk or Bradley?
I'm sure he has someone who dose spends hours watching tape and relays information to him though.

Anyone who watches the first 3-4 rounds of a Mayweather fight?

He is obviously a fan of Boxing. So he has seen all of the guys fight and knows their styles better than any of us could ever hope too. How many of us "don't know" the style of any of his last 5? Hell 10 opponents? By the time Mayweather fights them they are open book known quantities.

I just can't see FMJ sitting still watching and re-watching tape on anyone... other than himself.

Floyd's obviously busy but he has more free time during camp than the average working person. He has a lot of downtime especially with so many people on the payroll handling his affairs.

He's probably watched every available piece of footage from Cotto's entire career, three times.
