    It will be Danny Garcia.

Mayweather has just give him mainstream exposure on his undercard last night, he put on a stellar performance and he took 2 attempts to make weight which obviously tells you he's likely struggling to make 140.

I was thinking about this and I thought maybe Khan has a chance, then 5 seconds later I realized he hasn't. People who think Khan has a chance are thinking of Khan at his best. But if you look at his last fights. Got put down against Carlos Molina, took 10 rounds to KO Carlos Molina who is a lightweight, KTFO by Danny Garcia and lost controversially v Peterson. Khan isn't and will never be back at his best. Floyd Mayweather would absolutely school every single one of Khans opponents. The only people that would go past 6 rounds with him are Danny Garcia, Paulie (Sick chin) and maybe Maidana. Maidana is probably Khan's best win, but imo I thought that the fight was going to get stopped in the 10th round. Manny Paquiao is the most competitive fight for Floyd at the moment. Although Tony Bellew made a great point about this. He said styles make fights and Manny struggles against counter punches and look at the job Floyd did to Marquez, who has had so many close fights v Manny. I'd love Adrien Broner to fight Floyd. I don't think they'd fight because of all this big bro bull****. An if Broner was to have any chance he'd have to improve his footwork.

Khan will give anyone and everyone around 147 something to think about simply because of his hand speed.

But his boxing brain is what lets him down, he hasn't got a hope in hell of beating Mayweather.

I can't stand Khan but, I have to give him credit. If he did face Mayweather, he would actually put pressure on him and go for the win. Granted, I think he'd get sparked early but he would give it a go.

Khan's movement and speed would make it a competitive fight.

    Agreed.

Khan may get knocked out in the 1st rd or the 12th rd but i can guarantee whilst the fight was going on his handspeed and footwork would give Mayweather fits and neutralize alot of the advantages Floyd takes for granted. If Khan fought a disciplined fight like he did against Kotelnik i would even give him a shot of winning a close decision.

For those reasons i still want to see Pac-Mayweather happen.

After last nights performance Garcia deserves a shot too although he dosen't quite have the hand or footspeed of Khan or Pac so it may just be another one sided masterclass by Floyd.

I think the winner of Bradley/Marquez will be the first choice for most people and if Pacquiao looks good and blasts Rios out there will be calls for Mayweather/Pacquiao to finally happen. Also Danny Garcia's name will be thrown in there too.

Khan should be way down the list of possible opponents, I very much doubt he beats Alexander anyway.

With regards to last night, Floyd has a 6 fight deal, so why did Canelo take it so early in his career?

I don't think he beats him even in two years time, but throughout the build-up I couldn't understand the need to take this fight so early on.

Canelo was another gutless, all talk, no balls performance. No tenacity, no intensity, no pressure, nothing. Did he really think he was going to outbox Floyd. There is no advantage for Canelo if he doesn't fight like the bigger man. In fact, it becomes an advantage for Floyd as Floyd is used to significantly faster, more agile, more nimble, fitter opponents at the lower weights.

Well done to Floyd but as long as fighters are scared before they even step in the ring then this trend will continue.

Apparently, Mexico are in the process of dis-owning Canelo and chucking him out of the country.

I always said that if Khan had a chin then he would pose some problems to Mayweather, I would like to see him fight Lara or Garcia next.

I think Garcia was saying after his fight, get me Floyd to Schaefer.

    Potential fights...

Khan, definitely sellable and could happen in the Uk.
GGG says he can make light middle.
Martinez, in decline but on paper competitive.

Personal choice it has to be PAC, not the mega fight of 4 years ago but its now or never.

As much as Mayweather mentions a fight in the UK, it won't happen.

Too much money to be made in Vegas.

It is shocking but looks like we will need a fighter above the 154 limit to beat Mayweather.

    Martinez it is.

I don't see anyone beating Mayweather at the moment, especially if they go in with the idea that they are going to knock him out. What I do see in Khan is some of the traits needed to give Floyd more difficulty, hand and general speed and decent boxing skills..which would be needed for every second of twelve rounds to make any type of argument. But as we all recognise Khan,s punch resistance isn't good and I am not certain that some of the things we have mentioned as pluses in Khans armoury are not in decline.I would be very interested to see how Khan could perform if he could get a shot in one of the four bouts left in the deal...IF being a huge hurdle in itself!I suspect Khan might be able to give a better account of himself than we might think......but my confidence doesn't stretch to a win.....or even surviving twelve rounds.!!
