As far as Im concerned Floyd Mayweather is no longer relevant, he is not going to extend himslf or take any challenges. He is going out on his terms grabbing the money and putting on what amounts to sparring exhibitions against smaller slower opponents.

No fights for legacy or challenges and so I will no longer mention him, I no longer care, do what you want and support the guy if you enjoy his fights.

too many good potential bouts to be made out there: Mathysee vs Garcia, and the Froch vs Kessler scrap last weekend reminded me how good boxing can be.

so out with the old and in with the new.

A lot of people are excited about a lot of different fighters and potential fights. Be about it, and stop adding more Floyd threads to your collection if that's the case.

He's the lord of a spent division. Will never travel north. When welter stacks again he'll be old and go out like Whitaker. And so it is written. :eek:ld

After Pac got KO'ed and the potential Pac-Floyd fight dead in the water. Floyd's fight have become irrelevant.

    He is ducking everybody!

Since he is really a 140 pounder who doesn't cut, who do you think can beat him in his weight class?

Um nobody, but, but, but... He is ducking!

    Who?

    Um...

It's really quite true. When his remaining fights are mapped out according to a business model or a contract, excitement simply goes out of the equation.
Mayweather, at this point, is like going to a concert. Good show, but not a whole lot else.

Op must of been a Floyd fan.

Kind if the way I feel, I see it as a Floyd fan seeing past the "money" mayweTher now & coming to realise the one boxer who i used to get hyped for is just collecting checks now.

I admit I bought the last fight and was excited and was satisfied up until the point I rememberd it was "Robert el ghost Guerrero" he fought. The fight went exactly like everyone expected and I kind of lost interest that day.

Op did not down talk may he simply expressed his point of view of mayweather padding his bank account saftley . as a fan of pretty boy Floyd I'm disappointed we didint get much out of money may. Most of his hype came from his drama and celebrity of him then him in the ring. Talent provided to some one with no desire to to go out on top or to test himself when he seems he might be declining.

I thank Floyd for the good fights he gave us (pretty boy era) but money may is not a Muhammed Ali as he claims he's better then. Ali is ATG for his desire to prove he was the best and for stepping in the ring to in fights his fans wanted him in. Did he loose ? Yes but can Floyd's story over come Ali's ? No way. Floyd with be mentioned in the future but can never have a story like Ali vs Frazier, ward vs gatti, PAC vs jmm, Morales vs mab.

Floyd is a fighter who with out a doubt had the talent and capabilities to be talked about in the likes of atg , but lacked desire & heart. No man is pushed to do anything and Floyd is at no fault but he is building his career and seems to be going out on a quiet note.

Mayweather no longer relevant because he's either beaten everyone or would get shot down fighting those he hasn't beaten.

There is nothing really out there for him anymore, can't blame him for cashing out.
