I think he is just pushing the character really hard. Selling it really hard. I think he smells the blood - the money that is.
He knows how to put on a show OUTSIDE of the ring in order to sell the fight in the ring.

I must say although I rate the guy hugely and do expect him to win, Floyd is without class during a lot of this 24/7 series. Money can buy you a lot of stuff, but it can't buy class and Mayweather is a tribute to that fact.

The way he is swinging on his chair like a baby claiming to be cleaning up the sport is just sad. I like some of the stuff he comes out with sometimes, like he has said in the past, these fights are always better with a 'bad guy' involved, but he is pretty humourless at the minute.

I think he is genuinely threatened by the emergence of Pacman, not because he can't beat him (I think he can) but because people love and respect the guy- this is why he is now forced to act out this whole 'cleaning up the sport' charade.

    Come on Shane

floyd is swearing more than i ve ever seen him. i don t mind swearing but even i was like- man this guys going overboard. tupac didnt swear this much.

someone should tell floyd the old saying- to get respect you have to give it.

people dont respect him cos he shows nobody else any respect. look at Nazim- and shane for that matter- but especially NAzim. the man is a class act- never says a bad word about any trainer or any fighter- in fact avoids it- even when he s baited. he said on "on the ropes"- that he refuses to belittle any man or their accomplishments- and i thought- geez - if everyone was like that- boxing would be so much better for it. this guy is my favourite personality right now in boxing. he s a true throwback to when boxers were gentlemen and trainers were teachers. not the modern era- where boxers are businessmen and brands- and trainers are strength and conditioning, tae bo, boxercise trainers with no fight knowledge or historical knowledge at all.

i cant stand floyds hypocriciy- and his lack of knowledge of self

    he ll say -

"**** Shane mosley- and **** you too, down the line, meat and potatoes, straight up and down, -im clean cut ,"

all in one sentence without realising how contradictory and idiotic it makes him seem. id prefer if he was a bad guy- then to be a bad guy- like how mike was. instead this guy puts on charity events, gives out turkeys cos manny does, and belittles everyone else. and of course - brags of his wealth. whats no to hate about this ****wit. if there is a boxing god- shane will win. of course there isnt - and the fact is- that floyd is the best boxer in the world. pity he s a douche- and a terrible face for boxing.

Floyd likes to play the bad guy and he's going a little over the top with it this time. Thing is, in his mind he is the greatest of all time and I think if he didn't believe that he would have lost by now. But, it is totally disrespectful to Mosley and is viewed by many as unsportsman like for him to say some of the things he does on that program.

This is the fight game. Its a violent combat sports where the participants can inflict serious damage to their opponets and you've got *****'s on here crying because Floyd talks **** in the buildup. So what? Its boxing. But I guess Floyd will always be seen by white America as " the cocky, loud mouthed, n*****" because he doesn't behave how they want him too. Oh well.

Mayweather is a class act. He's really helping Shane out here. He's giving him his biggest payday, he's letting him come on his show, he's letting him share the ring with greatness, he let Shane know about his played out S curl, and it looks he's even going to let Shane keep his belt after he beats him. This is what we need from the face of boxing. He's trying to make sure everyone gets paid and everyone gets their 15 minutes of fame.

No need to bring race into it. Plenty of boxing fans of all races really like Floyd. Plenty of fans of all races also dislike Floyd. That's the personality he brings.

Im not saying that race is the controlling factor, but I do believe that it plays a role. That's just how America is. Nothing to lose sleep over though.

And you continue to perpetuate it. One day you will wake up and discover you are not fighting the machine but just a cog in it.

pretty much the same floyd, same person who runs his mouth all the time. Nothing new. I think its more on building up the hype for the fight than anything about disrespect or tarnishing his opponents in any way. If he behaves like pac or cotto, he wouldn't be the ppv king for years and earn millions on each fight.

That's your opinion. But I feel as though too many people turn a blind eye to it, or just don't care whereas I choose to point it out when I see it.
