Yes, as has been said many times, they are already filming in HD. £150k to film in HD?! What are you on? LOL
Very true. World of Sport redux. I'll be gutted if it folds. Sky's presentation seems to have upped the smarminess quotient by 100 every time I watch it.
So why is Frank talking about a huge investment in HD? Or is he talking **** like the rest of the article?
Great news. I am going to subscribe to Boxnation again. My half price deal with Sky ran out and I cancelled it this week, not worth £40 per month if only watching boxing.
An extra HD channel will need to pay EPG charges, sattelite time/ bandwidth charges etc etc. not cheap.
Goldenboy, Mayweather and Khan all on BN. That is great news and even more reason why I need it in HD. HD HD HD HD HD HD HD HD
If the schedule is going to suffer for the sake of HD then don't bother,I don't like the thought of budget being spent on more bandwith instead of fights For the record the US fights look excellent on my 32 Bravia
yo speaking of cancelling subscription, how are sky like when it comes to cancelling a package? Do they try and hustle you into another package or try some other scheme to gain high paying subscriptions? Im trying to lower my bill..any ideas to get them to shed a few notes?
There was a IFILM interview with Frank ******, which i enjoyed very much. Frank ****** was saying, that his pockets where deep! and was kind of sounding quite bullish towards Eddie Hearn and sky. He was talking about boxnation, and the success the channel has been! also all the work he done for Ricky Burns, and how Sky slagged Burns off. I think Ifilm, may have taken it down for some reason..?????
I agree, if the HD channel can pay for itself via attracting more subscribers or making existing subscribers pay a premium for HD then fair enough but the fights have to come first.
Nobody cares about HD, it hardly makes a difference! What type of ****ing mongs care about HD..? serious. Wasting money at this stage on pleasing afew quilts, by making a HD channel is pathetic.
When I called this week I asked if they had any new deals at the minute, but the best they could offer was a tenner off - which still about £35 per month. I was on a half price deal of £23 or £24 per month, so I told them to cancel it. Normally they call you prior to the end of your months notice and offer you a deal of some sort, if they offer me half price again I'll take it.
Because there's a **** load more charges than filming it. Why were you talking **** saying it cost 150k to film in HD? And why have you run away from this thread?
