"Mayweather has been entertaining boxing fans since the 1996 Olympics. Whether it is his in-ring ability or his antics in and out of the ring, Mayweather always makes things exciting. Even retired, Mayweather manages to stay relevant in boxing.

Mayweather recently competed (November 13) against Deji in Dubai. The YouTuber, KSI’s brother, was beaten by Mayweather via TKO, but Deji managed to give him a black eye. Following the bout, Mayweather was asked why he competes in exhibitions.

His answer? It’s all about the money. - “A lot of time people say, ‘Oh, Floyd have to do exhibitions,’ Mayweather said, via Boxing Scene. “My philosophy is never stop getting it (money). Currency over legacy.

I don't like exhibitions involving atgs against mms and YouTube no hopers. It does nothing for the sport of boxing.

Global Titans CEO Uday Singh told Insider that Mayweather could make between $25 and $30 million for the Deji fight. Mayweather was paid $1 million just for a phone call discussing the idea of a fight with Deji.

    The hell?

No one is paying Floyd that sort of money. That's Canelo money with filled out stadiums, huge promotion and PPV sales.

Sounds like a lie or some money moving shenanigans. Doesn't make any sense.

Nobody is forced to pay, if they pay its because they enjoy it. I’m glad there is a boxer making money long after their prime, specially one that earned it. It looks like Canelo is following his example already having lots of investments.

Fair play to him. People won't like it but you have to respect the hustle. He already did his part and established himself, nothing wrong with continuously cashing out and making the most out of these exhibitions post-retirement. He's in control of how he uses his money. If he ends up going broke in the future that's all on him.

You can't because he isn't getting paid those sums.

Floyd is the Walter Mitty of boxing.
