Its not about how rich they are.

These people are pure businessmen, literally doing this for profit.

Where are they making $25,000,000 profit to pay Mayweather from?

At the price points for this fight they would have to sell 1.6 million ppv's just to pay mayweather. That doesn't include his opponent, undercard, venue, ect.

What are the actual real life basis for Mayweather making 25 million other than simply, they are rich.

You really think they projected more than 1.6 million buys and/or a huge live gate for this?

They said up to. I don't believe he got paid his Pro - rate. I was strictly talking about the million dollar phone call, which isn't suprising.

Ah. Ya I'm talking about how much he got paid. Your post said between 25 million and 30. To me that was implying 25 was roughly around the base amount.

To me these are completely fake numbers. They get intentionally circulated for some reason, not sure if it's to try and leverage future paydays, or just to keep up the image, or probably a combination of both.

    Money laundering.

Another thing is you don't hit every time, so maybe someone took a loss on this. That's not unheard of, especially in the entertainment business.

And of course it is in everyone's interest to hype the dollar amounts involved. But maybe Floyd only got paid $10 million, all the same points of "money laundering" and "negative ROI" still apply.
