Sure, make it a racial thing. Modern boxing is riddled with top class fair skinned guys after the former Sovjet states got in the mix. If it's entirely about fair skin, then why not guys like Kovalev, Alvarez, Gonzalez or even Beterbiev? Why a guy that can't get the big names, and still people believe he's the next big thing? :blood
I'd pick Ward over Golovkin too. Ward is all around the better fighter but Golovkin's power could be the equalizer. Can Ward take a flush shot from GGG?
Oh good, another thread descended into puerile race-baiting BS. Yawn. BTW, despite being a GGG fan I'd pick Ward to beat him too - because of styles and size. Not skin colour or nationality.
Or maybe it's because Gennady has yet to take on an A level fighter or better yet...because HE CANT BEAT ANDRE WARD! :deal They won't even entertain an Lara fight.
its pretty sickening to listen to people say "he doesnt give any non black fighters credit"....the misery continues for floyd haters...i hope this ceases once he actually hangs them up
This place is full of Golovkin stans...doing a poll is pointless as most people won't be able to refrain from expressing pure bias.
Alot of us Mexican and Mexican-American crowd are believers in GGG because of his style and calling everyone out, not because he's a white dude we want to see succeed, we could care less about that. Not the first and probably might not be the last adopted son of the Mexican fanbase, remember Cuban Jose "Mantequilla" Napoles? Lara tried to win the Mexican fanbase as did Napoles, but failed miserably running all over the ring in almost every fight. Canelo is a star because of the marketing and hype throughout his career, but he's earned his stripes he's no hype job, tho hardcore Mexican fans know he's not the best, he is the most popular Mexican fighter atm.
I should be more specific. I was talking mainly about white people of mostly European descent. We have ignorant racists who don't even think any Hispanic fighters are white...:!:..hell they don't know about anything outside of their own country, tbh.
