Crazy that these two are huge rivals, and 10 years ago, Mayweather was a huge fan of Pacquiao. Literally. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B9a5E-dJKE Starting around 57:00, you see someone jumping up widely, flailing, and screaming in the crowd. If you look close, it's no one else but Floyd Mayweather. Haha! He was literally jumping up and down, screaming, so excited. Then when Morales got knocked out, Mayweather stands on his chair and raises both of his hands in the air in victory. Then, as Pacquiao started creeping towards his weight class, that ended.... but, it's sweet irony. How much have times changed! Now in almost one month, we'll see them two in the ring together!
He never thought that pacquiao would be a threat. Once he became one, his whole crackhead clan accused pac of aside meff.
I don't know if he was really a fan of Pacquiao and more of the fact that he probably bet big bucks on Manny to win against Morales lol
Being a spectator is different than fighting. Everybody loves watching Pacquiao fight. He's everything that's great about boxing. Fighting him though means getting your teeth punched in. It's not the same when it's you in the ring.
I don't know where but I've read or watched an interview where someone said that Floyd sparred a few times with Morales but could never beat him so he avoided training at the same time as Morales. Was that ever confirmed or was the story just made up?
lol, i'm sure one of your friends told you this. lmfao, there was video of them sparring on youtube around the chico fight. and by no means was it one sided one way or the other. this is about as accurate as an out of shape floyd sparring spadafora 1 week before paulies fight took place. a good 3 rounds and floyd laid down on the mat after it ended and people claim he was ko'd. i even think we have boxing clown still trying to keep that rumor going. its so funny how people run with anything they hear that they want to be true. they tell sme then they tell sme and in no time soon floyd was paralyzed due to that sparring session. believe nothing that you hear and nothing that you read. believe 50% of what you see and still wait until you're calm to go over what you think you saw
Mayweather is a huge gambler, it wouldnt surprise me one bit if he had big big money on pac and was thus happy he won. That being said, theres an interview out there around that time where he basically says he likes Pac...
One of Manny's greatest fights ever. Dead even up to the 6th and nobody would think that Morales would ever go down.
this is the vid you can see the glee in his eyes when he talks about pac https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwPN_aOEPcI
