Who's to say Ortiz caught a over confident and under prepared Berto. After all it was an upset and boxing has a history of fighters having off nights and falling victim to the ever present "upset". My point is this....there are a select few who seem to always try to discredit PAC no matter what he does...to the point where they REACH and CLUTCH at any straws within arms length. Ortiz by beating Berto is NOT PROVEN! Shane in his loss to Floyd is more proven than Ortiz or even Berto with all of their wins combined. So my simple rhetorical question was to uncover the underlying issue at the heart of the situation. Who and why are there some folks who can't accept PAC's accomplishments?

    Floyd/Ortiz is better than Pac/Mosley.

Its not always the most accurate but actually having it up gives this way more cred then some radom article or blog. Plus often Boxrec is the first to have **** like this up so in my opinion it can't be anything other then a good sign.

the only thing shane has proven over the last 2 fights is that he is well past it

    and as i said

ortiz is coming off a big win, not a loss and a draw to MORA for crying out loud

ortiz is a guy rising to his peak

mosley is a guy well past his peak and on the way down

the p4p 1 should be fighting some of those young lions out there...not chasing fake titles and past-it names

After Pac beats Mosley and PBF beats Ortiz, who else can they fight - knowing that both of them will be completely unwilling to fight Williams, Martinez, or each other?

At least Pac has the luxury of going to 140 if he chooses. PBF may as well retire.

    Awesome.

I love this fight if it's real.

Ortiz is a south paw, too.

Ortiz is in for some huge dough if this happens. EVERYONE knows Pac fights Floyd leftovers. Pac is too scared to face them first. Ortiz might as well start negotiating a Pac fight too. Ortiz can count on two big checks!

If you don't remember....they've been saying shane is past it...ever since before the Mayorga fight.

There's a lot of cats coming off of wins, but that don't mean they are lined up to hit the lottery! While I do believe Ortiz is the real deal, that don't mean he's ready for PAC. Sure....they'll sell it and try to force it down the throats of the buying public but don't be fooled! Ortiz is still very green and still very unproven. By beating Berto he got his best win but if you really think about Berto.....who the **** did he beat to be touted as the kid who will upset PAC?

As I said before ....>i would have much rather Berto be in line this weekend to fight Manny....but as you see, one loss and he's pretty much back at square one. Most have written him off, but he's still the same guy that would have been desecrated by Manny had they fought on May 7th.....just like Ortiz if he gets a fight with PAC or even Floyd.

Physically Ortiz is rising to his peak but overall....he's got a long way to go. he needs more rounds against ELITE level guys who aren't PAC or Floyd. Those guys don't operate with the same kinds of tools or abilities most in boxing have. Ortiz and Berto aren't even P4p fighters....they are young and they are top level guys but they aren't on PAC or Floyd's level.

Maybe a good fight but with Ortiz he'll take a huge dive on PPV's.

Floyd could fight either Bradley or Khan at 147.

Not a Floyd fan but I would be up for this fight.

Hope it doesn't turn out to be the usual attention-whoring from PBF!
