It's a good tune up fight before he takes on Pac. He takes Ortiz title and then move on to take Pacs titles which would make Floyd the king of the welterweight division. Rematch Pac beat him a second time then, move up and fight the winner of Cotto vs Margarito. Capturing another title which would make him look that much better. I think he should go for it.
floyd will make more money fighting one fight than manny has in his previous 3 and everyone is going to buy this fight ...now that's gangsta.
If Ortiz vs. May fight was a tune up fight which ultimately led to a Pac fight, wouldn't it be a smarter choice for May to match up against Khan instead? For hand speed and boxing style sake? I know their styles have been compared as "similar" in the past. Or would it be smarter to fight a south paw like Ortiz instead. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/ot...Pacquiao-very-similar-says-Freddie-Roach.html [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW1DUR6W-Hg[/ame]
Still have not worked out that Jr lies about how much money he earns? Go and look at the gross for his fights and have a think about the cost and all the people involved . The TV and promoter are going to pay him one third of the gross?Rofl
I predicted this would be the fight a few weeks ago so this doesn't surprise me. The fight is much easier to sell than Mayweather Berto would have been. It should be an exciting fight as Ortiz will have to walk through hell to score or concede early on. A win for Ortiz would all but guarantee 40 million in career earnings for him so I I think he will try harder than Marquez or Mosley did.
:roflThat's what you call "gangsta"?? Funny thing is Floyd thinks the exact same way which is why he gets next to zero respect from his peers in boxing and in the world of HIP HOP that he tries so hard to fit in with. Sorry but Floyd's a damn joker! At least he has money!!! :yep
