    I heard 2.8m (inc. postbuys and wired viewings) on the grapewine but...

    My source tells me the official figure will be closer to 1m

    I think the reason it takes time for them to release the numbers is because HBO doesn't pay if the buyer doesn't pay. They know the number of viewers, they just don't know how many of the viewers are going to pay. You can't tell me that the regular broadcasts networks can provide us with ratings but HBO can't provide the viewers with all electronic purchases.

    HBO knows exactly how many viewers there were at fight time. It's a digital delivery system and reporting is instantaneous. The real reason it taks so long to count is because what they are really counting are the "paid" ppv buys.

    This strange, there are no OFFICIAL NUMBERS yet. It's like Pac vs Mosley, all we have is rumors and numbers from people NOT ASSOCIATED with HBO.
