He'll probably wobble him or even score a few knockdowns, doubt he'll go for the kill though unless Ortiz pulls a Hatton and jumps blindly into a punch and crashes into the ring post.
:rofl Took me a while to get get rid of judahs glove Edit: zz now i cant unsee that, its not as photogenic gonna change it
Please, people. Anybody who thinks that Ortiz is a 'dangerous' opponent who will have anything more than just a tiny little slight marginal outsider chance here must be delusionial. Don't get me wrong here, I think Ortiz is a good fighter. But nothing more. Floyd Mayweather is the #1 (or #2, depending on your view) fighter in the world, until proven otherwise. And, love him or hate him, he is a great great fighter. Even if he doesn't seek the biggest risks out there and lets his fans down. And that's the point here: Floyd hasn't taken on a real challenge in years, and he doesn't take on a real challenge in Ortiz. He hand-picked Ortiz because he sees so many weaknesses and flaws in him which he can and will exploit, and because Ortiz is hyped right now as the second coming of Duran because of his win over ATG Andre Berto (irony). Oh yeah, and Ortiz is so much bigger than Floyd and so much better now that he fights at WW... while Floyd is rusty, shopworn, old and slow and his reflexes are gone, plus he isn't focused because of his troubled private life. Reality check: Ortiz is a man who quit like a punk on national TV against Maidana only 2 years ago, and who could not beat Lamont Peterson. Ortiz will enter the ring at 160lbs, yes, but Mayweather will enter at nearly the same weight. And don't tell me Ortiz won't get frustrated by masterboxer Mayweather and crumble mentally before getting picked apart in good ol' Mayweather fashion. Mayweather won't grow old over night, that's not happening with a fighter that hasn't taken much punishment and always stayed in shape. Even if Mayweather indeed should only be 80%, it should be more than enough to handle Ortiz. People are making too much of these 2 big punches that Mosley landed on him - 'he took a punch, he is shot, Ortiz will destroy him' - well, he took those punches and took them well, and proceeded to totally whoop Mosleys ass. This is nothing more than a warm-up fight for Floyd against a hand-picked opponent, hopefully en route to the megafight that we are all waiting for and that will truly be competitive - against Manny Pacquiao. Floyd TKO 10 Ortiz after winning every single round.
Ortiz couldn't beat Peterson and quit vs. a crude fighter like Maidana. Floyd should KO Ortiz within 3 rounds if he's truly a great fighter.
I'm gonna go PBF UD, I think he wins a closer than expected UD (7-5, 8-4), I don't think PBF gets KD but I think he'll take some good shots and get cut and it may cause him some problems.
Mayweather on points a shut out, I see him pressing the attack a little and Ortiz taking quite a few clean punches but I dont know if he will press it enough to Knock Ortiz out.
Mayweather Hand picked Victor Ortiz to make a statement and he will make a statement saturday night beating a young champion that will be an X champion.
