Many of you have been fooled into believing that Ortiz has a chance. This is the sign of great promotion .... making people believe an 8 to 1 underdog has a shot.

Pacquiao presents the only real challange to Mayweather at 147 and below.

The odds are down to 5 to 1. So either the initial odds were too high, or a lot of betters have been fooled.

Possibly. I just think the odds were way too high to begin with. Marquez was only a 4/1 underdog.

theres always going to be people making bogus predictions days b4 the fight. the promotion wouldn;t matter either way, ortiz is not much of a name and it'll show in the PPV buys.

I remember when Holyfield had zero chance against Tyson he opend up a 25-1 underdog and just before the fight the odds shifted down to 6-1 and that was before the weigh in to....

Strange, not saying thats what we have here, but usally the odds do not dip down like that until after the weigh in maybe this too is part of trying to sell more tickets and PPV #s?

PPV numbers will do better than Mosley Pac IMO, likely to do better than Pac vs Marquez, you dont need to have a name for people to pay to see you fight, names do not always sell tickets its the way you fight, and thats exactly why people tune in when Augustus would fight, or Micky Ward with that many losses it didnt matter fans always got their moneys worth

Or maybe the profit on betting, is too high or too low.

I really think this will do big PPV numbers, i see a commercial every 10 minutes. and ESPN shows it 2 times every hour

The odds have been gradually going down for this fight. Mayweather should win, but Victor is pretty good fighter. When you add in the fact that Mayweather is going on 35 and hasn't fought in 16 months, 8/1 seems high.
