This is an interesting analysis. You might well be right.

DFT; Okay, as it's you ;-) Floyd should stand on the inside and bomb Ortiz out. Radar+handspeed+accuracy=Early bath for Victor.

However, look for Floyd to hold centre ring, and catch Ortiz with his sharp right hand whenever he wants. He should only employ lateral movement when Ortiz closes the distance, as I imagine Floyd isn't going to engage Ortiz on the inside, event hough heis more than capable of doing so. That right is the key punch here; Ortiz is not a particularly decent southpaw (convert, so that probably explains it, he's no ****ing Kalule) has pretty much no defence and eats right hands like they're going out of fashion.

Key for Ortiz; don't flick your jab, ram it. So, be a different fighter. Can't see it happening.

Yep, Ortiz defence isn't great so he might get stopped or at least hit frequently even when trying to be elusive. It just very hard to know what you're going to get from Mayweather at the moment, whether he'll be content to just win the rounds or make a statement.

Floyd hopefully makes him quit or knocks him out, 2/1 for floyd before 12 rounds is a good price i reckon.

 

Absolutely this. This is the strategy that Ortiz needs to use IMO and I believe he can pull it off. In my own head, I have a blueprint that makes Floyd look like a complete novice. It sounds mental but I genuinely believe it can be done and I hope Ortiz tries something similar.

This is my own gameplan that I'd employ to beat him:

1. Do anything to upset Floyd before the fight. I'd constantly hate on him, pick his record to pieces. Question his uncle's sanity, why he doesn't get on with his dad and why his apparent wife-to-be won't even kiss him! I'd say that from the first minute to the last, I'm gonna bulldoze him in the ring. He's an old man and won't be able to cope with someone winging 80/90 punches a round against him.

2. Do the complete opposite of the above in the ring. Fight nearly 100% on the back foot. Even if the crowd boo louder than ever before.. perfect. Floyd's ego will not allow that to continue and he'll start to make mistakes. This is where you outbox him, out-manoeuvre him and put him where he doesn't want to be.
