Yeah I'm asking what's missing if it wasn't that... Was the urge video part of the 'racist rant' or another video? Doubt you'll find an article on an 'unnerving silence'... What was the other one?
Floyd's camp is saying that whatever talks that went on they don't consider negotiating. Basically both sides said what they want but the only thing that was ever the hold up was the drug testing. Floyd's camp said no test no fight. The actual negotiating doesn't start BEFORE Manny agrees to full random drug testing. It starts AFTER. That is what I feel Ellerbe is getting at. Put it this way, Ellerbe informs Floyd Top Rank wanna discuss the fight. Floyd says "does Pac agree to the testing?" Ellerbe says "they want a 7 day cut off." Floyd says, "call me when they agree to full testing." From their point of view the talks are over, but that won't stop Haymon or GBP from continuing on in hopes that Pac changes his mind about the testing. But since it didn't happen now GBP is trying to save face.
wether there was or wasnt negotiations, it is clear that mayweather didnt want to fight pacman at this point in time.
Gotcha... Not sure if they'd include that due to the controversy around the video.. and they have other articles stating Floyd was 'taking a year off' already, but nonetheless it is missing, at least I didn't see it. What was the ESPN interview about? You said them asking Floyd why he wasn't negotiating with them?
what does the ESPN video have to do with the timeline. How is that relevant to negotiations? I think you just want it to be added because it makes Floyd look bad. He never added the part when Teddy Atlas talks about those emials
schaefer said oscar was probably misquoted. but according to the linked article (written by ben thompson), it would be pretty difficult to misquote a video interview when all their spanish translators are watching it over and over again. so schaefer might be talking out of his ass? also as a known floyd fan, who do you think is more credible on this situation, greenburg or schaefer + ellerbe?
oscar says it was close to being made. drug testing and it's cut-off could be negotiated. if floyd or ellerbe insist that no negotiations unitl pac's team agrees to no cut-off, then they are really cutting the fight off without any chance to meet in the middle. they did it before, why won't they do it again? besides, when floyd announced his vacation, the only reason he said was he does not have the urge to fight. so why blame it on the drug testing when floyd was actually planning not to fight for the rest of the year already?
I still believe that if Pac's camp would have just come out and said they agree to full testing then the fight would have happened at that time.
floyd had hinted already that he is taking a time off. and when negotiations are almost done, according to oscar, floyd then announces his vacation. so pacquiao actually agreeing or not agreeing to floyd's terms would have not affected his vacation plan for that year until the early part of this year. my guess is that, they actually tried to talk with haymon. floyd earning big in the mosley fight suddenly thinks that's enough for the year and won't fight on november 13 which was reserved by arum. i can believe oscar when he said that it was really that close. no sense in greenburg lying about the negotiations taking or not taking place. meanwhile, ellerbe had to back floyd up by saying no negotiations took place.
This " time line " article was written by a Flaming *****. I read it once and it was hella missing so many things like some posters here mentioned that Hoya made a statement that the negotiation was close to getting done then all of a sudden Ellerbe said there was no such negotiation happened and was shut down quick by HBO boss greenburg stating that such negotiation did occur but Floyd just didn't want the fight. Somebody creating a very inaccurate " time line " of events is very consuming and what made it look like a big desperate move was that it was missing so many events in the so called time line that disputes the whole reason for creating the article which is to make it seem like Pac doesn't want the fight to happen. **** I read somebody create a more accurate time line here and *****s avoided the thread like somebody was asking them for child support.
