Now I've spent a reasonable amount of time on here either defending, or accusing one of the above two with regards to not fighting eachother, who's fault it is, why it happened, and so forth, but the plain reality of the situation is that they outright ducked eachother, and ****ed over us, the fans in the process.

Whether or not you want to admit to it it is true, all either man could have done in this situation is make sure EVERYTHING on his side was cool and there were no problems from him.

    But no.

Pac allowed his team - his trainer Freddie Roach, and his promoter Bob Arum to spew all kinds of bull****, the guy is afraid of needles? Really? You need to built a stadium? Really?

During all this Pac never said a ****ing peep.

He can't take drug testing? Pac himself said he would only take tests 'the commision asked for' for a very long time. Ridiculous.

Mayweather retired for a ****ing year. And then most recently he offered $40m flat for a ****ing fight that was likely to gross over 2 hundred million.

What kind of stupidty is that? Pac aint no bum.

They were touted as the p4p number 1, and number 2 in the sport, and both of them ALLOWED the fight to not happen when fighting eachother should have been a PRIORITY, but it wasn't, because they could both continue with their careers and fight other fighters and still make millions (off of us, the fans) against lesser guys

This was a legacy sealing fight, it would have been the biggest fight of the century

I wasn't old enough to watch the Thrilla in Manilla when it happened, or the fight of the Century, or the Brawl in Montreal...and this fight would have been bigger than all of those, not with two better fighters, but this would have eclipsed them all, it would have made the most money, had the most viewers around the world, broken all kinds of records, can you imagine the electricity on the night?

But we didn't get to see it

Each time one fighter agreed to something, a problem was brought up by the other camp

Neither man did everything they could have done to make sure the fight could happen and that makes them ****ing disgraceful

Floyd is far and away my favourite fighter but this whole saga has been embarrasing for both sides

They must be the only two fighters in history to have literally ducked eachother

Meanwhile, Marquez moved up and fought them both, each and every time being the underdog, and neither of them had the stones to really make a fight happen with the other 'greatest fighter of the era'

    Pretty much.

Thats why the *****/******* arguments are endless and pointless.

Because both sides are right in what they say, and one argument will always be able to be countered with an opposing argument about "who ducked".

And both teams ended up winners in the end, because they both made more money by not fighting each other and piggybacking off each others name, than they would of made if they had fought initially.

Pacquiao was a free agent after the Bradley fight and was stalling on a fight with Marquez because he wanted Mayweather but Arum promised him Mayweather if he signed to fight Marquez first a promise Arum probably would not have kept as he had rios and bradley lined up for him this year if he beat Marquez. Remember the fight with Marquez got changed from November to December because manny was stalling on it.

Pacquiao signed a extension with top rank till the end of 2014 so we wont get a chance of Mayweather Pacquiao till 2015 as if Manny gets revenge on Marquez this year he has rios and bradley lined up for him in 2014.

Arum has been the biggest stumbling block in the fight not happening. Arum did not want mayweather delahoya to fight and Mayweather had to leave him to make that fight happen.

It is crazy when you think about what JMM did to get those fights. He first fought Pac at 126. Never had any problems making weight and then then Pac went to 130 JMM went there to pick up a title and make a Pac fight a title fight.
Pac went up in weight to 135 so JMM went there to get another fight. Pacs team did not want it so JMM challenges the best p4p out there as he put it and takes on PBF by going up 2 weight classes. He gets beat so he goes back to the drawing board and campaigns to fight Pac a 3rd time again. He even gives in to the high weight class which is an advantage to Pac again as JMM looked horrible at WW. Being the genius he is he prepares better and looks great at the weight. He beats Pac more convincingly than before which calls for an immediate rematch at the full weight of 147 and he stops Pac.

Crazy... JMM is the Armstrong of our generation not Pac. Pac cherry picked all his climbs in weight and had stipulations to them while JMM just took on the best in each weight climb he made.

Yup it's Pacs fault for letting Arum cockblock the fight.

And it's Mayweathers fault for not doing everything he could have to make sure we know that's the case

One week he said 'Manny Pacquiao youre next'

The next week he retracted it

    :verysad

Neither of the fighters made it easy to make excuses for them

Arum didn't wanna make the fight, but both fighters were happy with that happening

JMM is the Armstrong of our generation?

I'm glad JMM got his KO. It was like Captain Ahab finally getting his whale!
I find it funny that he wrote a book about beating Pacquiao though!
JMM is a gentleman, but a funny character at times. lol

Nor did Arum want Cotto - Mayweather fight. Immediately after leaving Top Rank, Cotto fought Mayweather.

Neither guy in their actions showed a willingness to make the fight. To deny the fans that lined their pockets with hundreds of millions this massive fight was disgraceful. They should both retire. They are bad for the sport.

Hammering Henry Armstrong. Dude that was a weight climber. He even held titles in 3 separate weight classes at the same time!!! Seems impossible to do now with all the politics in boxing.
